Sylar = Nathan Petrelli (the Politician)

just read the ew article about the show heroes and it said some interesting things it said the reason that nathan was attracted to niki will be revealed during sweeps this lead me to thinking that mabey jess is his wife but micha and stuff dosent know as whay did she do the dirty on DL for the 2 mil? was it to finance the election campain???

also slightly off topic but does anyone think that nathan is sylar ( i know the casting of sean bean has happend but!!!) the ew article states and its a quote from tim kring that the connection between niki and sylar is very close ????

Hi, this is my first post here, and I was thinking...I think Nathan is Sylar...why would he not give peter that painting even when linderman gave it to him...and why would sylar be able to fly....It all makes sense....am I crazy?

The likely hood of that happening is slim, though not impossible, especially since we already know the actor who was cast for Sylar. But, if we've learned anything thus far, nothing is what it seems.

I think that that reason he goes for peoples brains is because maybe somehow he gets their powers from their brains somehow? Then if you think about it, Save the Cheerleader, Save the World makes some kind of sense, because if Sylar can regenerate, then he'd be a toughy to get rid of! and maybe if he got the nuclear guys powers, he could blow up New York, and then regenerate himself? idk just talking outta my butt, but sounds pretty cool to me!

I don't think Sylar has any other powers except for telekinesis, which would enable him to deter bullets, levitate himself and move things with his mind. I doubt that Peter is Sylar in any form, especially since an entirely different actor, who looks nothing like Milo has been cast.

But...it's Heroes. Hell, Hiro could turn out to be Sylar. (but that is SOOO unlikely.)

Yes, i think there is a definite trend of there not being a black and white definition between good and evil. Nathan seems like one such character, with him being a bit corrupt, or selfish. At least for the moment tho i don't think they will form any clear "teams" for a while. Although brothers on opposing sides is always interesting. Also many of them have subtle powers, meaning that alone their power isn't all that useful in a combat situation, but more of an undercover role or what not, such as the mind reading or regeneration. And of course niki's power causes there to definitely be some question between good and evil.

He's corrupt ($4 million "campaign contribution" from Linderman); he's unfaithful (Darling Nikki); and he can lie through his teeth (when he bold-faced lied to his wife about the blonde woman in Vegas), and he's a politician! ("I did not have sexual relations with that woman ... "

But besides all of the obvious character flaws, Nathan said something in Episode 1 that leads me to believe the writers are hinting to him as Sylar. In one scene where Nathan is talking to Pete at his campaign headquarters after their mother's shoplifting incident, Nathan said, "Pete, I know I cast a big shadow ... "

The painting of Claire on the staircase with a large, shadowed figure cast above her .... I know he was probably referring to Pete's inferiority complex, but it could be something.

That's it .... that's all I've got. Let's see if my theory holds water.

It's an intresting theory, as theories go and beats the heck out the one that's driving me crazy that it's Peter... (It really could be and that's what driving me crazy, tho at the same time there is evidence that it won't be)... and i see what u mean about the foreshadowing (i also agree that nathan could be evil, and probably will be and likely team up with Jessica/Nikki) but i don't see y or how Sylar could be Nathan. Why would nathan kill the other heroes and take thier brains? To what purpose? and The voice on suresh's messages doesn't sound like nathan and rumor has it they have hired someone totally different to play the Sylar charachter...

...but barr all that, and i like ur theory better than sylar being peter.
