Sylar = Peter Petrelli (THE DREAMER)

I like the Dark Peter theory.

He might be using Hiro's power to go back and start before everyone meets.

Ok guys, i have rewatched all 4 episodes of Heroes.. took me a while, but i had to pay attention to every detail.

I wrote 2 full pages of details, and im writing my own theory based on the details and facts i have.

I also have 3 possibilities of who Sylar can be, starting from the biggest possibility to the smallest.

1. Peter Petrelli
2. Peter and Nathan's "Father"
3. Nathan



As Heroes started off, it started off as we know it as the Present.
This isn't necessarily the REAL present, as we see at the end of Episode 4, Hiro came from the future to deliver Peter a message.

The actual present, might have turned out differently.
But with the interference of different things, present day will slightly be changed.

During the show we see DNA strings showing up in the weirdest places possible:

-Isaac Mendez's his paintstore (on the paintings).
-The pool where Matt was at the crime scene.
-Claire's Geometry book.
-The encryptions in Mohinder's laptop (his dads).
-The drawing Peter made when he was in the hospital
-The 9th wonders comic book.
-And the black guy that works for Claire's Dad has an necklace with the string
-Various other places.

I think all the DNA strings has something to do with the connections of these people.


Now concerning Claire's dad, and specifically him NOT being Sylar:

-He is a father who apparently loves his adopted daughter.
-Seems like he is doing all of this for a good cause.
-If he was Sylar he would take Matt's brain, instead of running tests on him.
-He works in a team, Sylar operates alone, and non physical.


Peter has an ability to absorb people their powers, like mimicry, he always lived in the shadow of his brother, and seems to try to draw attention from everybody, cause he wants to BE SOMEBODY.

Before Peter jumped of the roof, he brought a visit to Isaac, cause he was OD-ed. Notice how he touches Isaac his chest before he saw the painting.

When Peter jumped off the roof, and Nathan flew to him, he got in contact with his brother. Which made him absorb his power, for a bit.

He ended up in a hospital.
His mother brought him a visit, as he was drawing something (him and his brother).

Now as we see almost at the end of Episode 2, Peter was on a roof, and Nathan came to tell him they BOTH flew. And Peter got mad, and he sort off hovered in the air.

After that scene, the camera zooms in at the drawing Peter made, with the exact same moment he had, when he was hovering.

This takes away the speculation that Peter can only DO THINGS when he is around people. Cause when he draw the future, Isaac was not around him. Which means he can absorb small amounts of others power and uses them at any given moment. Maybe when he is longer around someone with powers, he keeps absorbing

As he can do this all there might be a possibility that Peter can turn out to be Sylar.

Why?

As Peter can absorb powers, and eventually meets up with Niki.
He could absorb her powers. Which means there could rise an Alter Ego.

This Alter Ego might turn out to be BAD. Cause Peter has that low self esteem, and feels like living in shadows.

So that Alter Ego might be the exact opposite of what Peter is now (a friendly guy). Which could mean that could be Sylar.

Being SOMEBODY, not being in someone his/her SHADOW anymore.
That also could explain why the brains are taken away from people.

Because they are 'special' too, Peter Alter Ego feels like 1 of them. And that makes him feel just like them.

He wants to be above them. So he has to get rid of them. And take their powers.


Although The Alter Ego could have merged back together with Peter.
And be one at the same person, with multiple personalities.

Now let's have a little word about Sylar and what we know about him:

Sylar has an hunger for power, seems like he is having a depressive disorder, as we saw in Sylar his apartment, the writings on the wall like: "Forgive me, i have sinned etc .etc.". shows that he has some self sympathy. Knowing he is doing things wrong.

Sylar has the ability to move objects "telekineses", regeneration, seeing the future (as he knew the location of the little girl), possible time and space bending, and he is able to fly.

All of this looks like he has the power to mimic as well.

Which could result being Peter's Alter Ego!



Now let's move to Peter and Nathan's dad:

He did not DIE, he commited SUICIDE, as far as we know.
Their dad had some major depressive disorder, thinking he was INVINCIBLE, and UNDESTRUCTABLE, DELUSSIONAL.

Major depressive disorder, can make you go crazy, and being non friendly.

(Maybe he discovered his powers)

He also has 2 sons (Peter and Nathan) surprisingly born with POWERS.

Which could mean that he had powers himself, but went nuts and commited suicide cause of that (Which is said in the show but not fully proven, maybe a cover up by Nathan and the Mom).


Last but not least, Nathan:

There is not much of an theory that he could be Sylar but heck, you never know.

He is fully aware of his powers, he never acted surprised about that he could fly nor he was surprised of the moment when Peter hovered, and never mentioned to much about it either.

He has his NON-friendly moments, but everybody has that lol



Ok and now i had to add a little something.

The laboratory where Matt was, being tested and stuff.
Could be containing MORE test subjects, as we don't know that yet.
But the possibility is BIG!

The BIG explosion we see and what is coming, won't be a nuclear explosion. It adds nothing important to the show.

I think it is some kind of SELFDESTRUCTION of someone, orrrrrr having such great powers that you could vaporize an entire city!


Well this was my frikkin theory for now as i dont have enough facts to keep writing


Oh and here is how the possible, Alter Ego might look like, see it as a seperate one, and a merged Peter at once

My thoughts on this... I believe Sylar is actually the brothers' father. They never talked much about his death. All you know is that he is "dead" but it if he did go crazy and get depressed towards the end, it could explain the psychopathic turn that is displayed in Sylar. The ability that he displayed, such as being able to walk through walls, regeneration, flight, and telepathic abilties... mimics Peter's ability to absorb others heroes abilities. But Peter hasn't developed those abilities to that level.

Another theory is that Sylar is Peter from the future. Something happened to him in the future that made him go nuts. Which could explain Hiro's appearance on the subway. Try to stop things from progressing the way they are.

I love this theory, this is kind of what I have been thinking myself after seeing episode 4. Either that or Hiro knows who else Sylar is and needs Peter o stop him from getting Claire since Peter can absorb powers. And maybe too, if there is time line shifting here, the little girl that Matt found is a young Claire that Sylar comes back to get for some reason so she can't kill him ala Terminator 2? Sylar could have just killed her on the spot but he was taking her somewhere.
