Strength was never her power... it was the ability to absorb another personality at the point of death. If her power is just strength then wtf is the purpose of Jessica anyways?

I feel like this power seemed cool when they created it in the pilot.. but they started running into issues when dealing with a sponge like Peter.. as such.. they retconned it to just be strength.

strength is a part of her power, when she changed to jessica and tore those people apart!? and there is no info that leads anyone to believe that her power absorbs a personality that dies near them.

geez... i had to join this site just to post on this thread... i think there's a lot of overlooked details that help to clarify if you pick up on them. i'll start with the dream sequence with deveaux(?) peter was having precognitive dreams before he knew he could fly, in essence, before he knew he was a hero. he had a link to the people he cared about that was kind of understood but written off as "oh, he's empathetic, brotherly love, etc." it seems more likely to me that this is an ability that was possessed by the prior generation of supers. this group was hinted at by linderman in his conversation with nathan and then reiterated by his mother. the members revealed to this point are linderman, mr. deveaux, mrs. petrelli, and hiro's father. of these, only linderman's power was revealed. there's really good reason to believe this story line will be integral to the "generations" theme of the next season which, i gotta say, i'm ecstatic about because i haven't seen this topic posted anywhere else. anyway, i think this was put in to slow things down, reveal just how far back the events that were about to unfold were known, and prepare peter for the upcoming battle. i've got plenty more but i think this will do for the first post.
