Anybody else dissapointed in the finale? I had hoped for a much more interesting battle between Sylar and Peter. Also why did Sylar just let Hiro run up to him and stab him? Why didn't Peter just fly away on his own?

yea i think they implied that Sylar escaped via man hole, i also wondered why peter didnt just fly himself. i dont think nikki/jessica power works that way either, but we do know he absorbed her strength.

So you think they retconned her power?

Strength was never her power... it was the ability to absorb another personality at the point of death. If her power is just strength then wtf is the purpose of Jessica anyways?

I feel like this power seemed cool when they created it in the pilot.. but they started running into issues when dealing with a sponge like Peter.. as such.. they retconned it to just be strength.

I thought the finale was amazing and I think Peter couldn't fly off on his own b/c he was to involved with the exploding thing to even be able to concentrate on flying, but we saw that cockroach again after Syler is supposed to be dead like he was back in containment, hmmmm......

The storm drain thing was weird though. Are they saying Sylar somehow lived while everybody just walked away? Pretty dumb too. Sylar should now be another personality in Peter. Niki/Jessica got close enough to absorb.. then Sylar died shortly after. This means Peter should have Sylar as a second personality.

All in all the finale was a huge let down given the build up. Part of that stems from the fact that the big showdown in no way matched up with the vision of the future. What the hell was up with that? Did they just run out of money to do the daytime shoot with extras?
I must admit I was a little dissapointed with the finale myself, as you say Tails the build up had been awesome and we'd all ignored the little plot holes because it was an enjoyable ride, but the finale just lacked the wow factor. How and why did Peter have the dream/timeshift scene with Charles Devaux? It made no sense how he could have done it although I had guessed he was in on it for a long time. Agreed Nathan should have been able to take Peter out of harms way and then get the hell out the way himself.

That said the first season has been really good and I look forward to next season, shame about the Last episode which should have been the highlight.

What I want to know is who is this guy that is worse than Sylar? It could be that this worse guy dragged Sylar into the sewers (It could happen). Who ever this WORSE guy is must be pretty rough to see the girl when she tries to find him. Last night I was screaming for Peter to fly away himself as well but hopefully Nathan dropped him and flew away. It would be kinda silly to stay connected until he blew up.

Is this the last of heroes?

Well.. concerning Charles Deveraux... Peter should have Hiro's powers.. so showing up back then is doable. If he is not quite controlling his power he may have been dreaming of the time he met Charles and then ended up there via time travel... invisible to prevent them seeing him(or so he thought). Was pretty weird to encase it in a dream though.

It reminded me of Stephen King really... writes a good novel and then stumbles trying to find a decent ending.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed too. First off there is no thrill in the last one.. at least not thrill enough. We all waited for a face-off between Peter and Sylar but never happened...

The ending reminded me of TMNT 3... which was a really bad movie (Angry Nintendo Nerd also agree with me).

Here are my questions:

If the absorb ability works on Peter that well.. he should have absorbed all of abilities by now from everyone around? (yeah that includes melting the toaster which is a cool useless trick).

The guy that Molly said that can see her = same guy in the sewer?

We saw a flashback in Sylar's eye so in theory he was killed by Hiro though. We never really know what are ALL abilities Sylar has stolen. The writer can easily get out of that one. The fact that his body could get away is like a total joke...

Was that Zulu behind the Kensei 's mask?

Speaking of Zulu... I am 100% sure the superpower thing is passed on from the parents (kinda like that Force). What power does he has then? Also nothing really explained what happened to Peter's dad. Charles has some sort of power too... so Simone should have some power as well.. too bad she died.

We dont know about the guy in the sewer was the guy who pulled Sylar in the sewer or not or if Sylar did it of his own free will. But the trail of blood would leave me to believe he got dragged. You would at least see hand prints of he did it. No one is gonna get stabbed and not touch it.

Can you go into more detail about Zulu? Who was he?
