how come Sylar didn't take Peter's brains

I forgot which episode where Sylar is cutting Peter's forehead. How come Sylar doesn't finish the job and Peter ends up not dying? I must have missed some footage.

It's in 0.7%. Sylar is cutting open Peter's head and stops and then Peter uses his ability to... eh... move things through the power of mind?! I can't remember where he got that from and what it's really called. Anyway - he somehow pushes Sylar off him across the room. This leads to Mohinder falling from the ceiling since Sylar doesn't focus on him anymore. Peter makes himself invisible, Sylar lets glass shards fly through the room and hits Peter in the back of his head, Peter dies. Mohinder hits Sylar with something (I think it was a blackboard) quite hard and Sylar passes out. Mohinder takes dead Peter to his family. Yes, I think that's it. Oh, and then Claire resuscitates Peter by pulling the glass out of his head.

he got it from sylar when he throwed those lockers at him when peter was trying to save clair

if peter can use abilities sylar has taken, i wonder when he'll start freezing things?

Just to be clear, Sylar doesn't just stop randomly. He stops because Peter begins to heal as Sylar uses his power.

Sorry for re-opening this thread but I've tried searching for an answer to a query and this was the closest I got. I'm new here, btw.

My question is how does Syler manage to kill Claire is she can also re-generate? Or how can Peter survive? The whole "Save the Cheerleader.." storyline relied on her being vulnerable to Syler though Peter shows differently. I'm sure I've probably forgotten something. Any ideas?

I don't thinks Claire and Peter can heal if something happens to their heads. When Peter got glass in his head he couldn't heal until Claire removed it.

But Sylar started cutting in Peter's and Claire's heads in his usual way so how come Peter survived but Clair didn't (in the dark future)? The only difference was that Sylar cut Claire's head from behind and Peter from the front. Perhaps he was able to deactivate her power first that way. He did have more experience of his power by then I suppose. I just wondered if there was an out-and-out answer
