After watching the episode a few nights ago, something occured to me. I didn't realize that the Haitian can actually stop all people's powers, I thought for some reason he could only do it to Parkman. Anyway, why doesn't he go after Syler, stop him from using his powers, and take a bat and beat his face in? Or make him forget everything?

I think the Haitian's power is to negate others when he is around them, putting up mental barriers in their brains, which effectively is where the source of the heroes powers lie, going on what Syler keeps repeatedly doing to them, thus stopping or at least dialling down their powers in his presence.

That's a really good point. Maybe that's what Primatech wants to do, because it seems like their main problem now is locating Sylar, which is why they need that girl.
