Claire's Dad's Purpose In Finding Others

episode 8, Mr. Bennett says that for several years, he and others have been tracking and monitering the "special" people. In the last episode, He said he was given "marching orders" to keep Sylar alive despite his warning of the danger, so Bennett is working for someone in tracking and testing the "specials". The company he works for is Pharmatech.....are they trying to find a cure? Are they trying to help them learn to use their powers fully? Are they trying to develop an antidote or manufacture a gene to help others develop powers? I don't think Mr. Bennett is a bad guy as some have suggested. How did he and the others he is employed by find out about the "specials?" he obviously is worried about Claire being found out, and it doesn't seem to be just Sylar he is worried about. Did he know about Sylar before Chandra Suresh called him?
I think someone from the future came back and told him of Sylar. Among the pictures of Sylar's kills that he showed to Eden, I thought one of them was Issak, which is still in the future. any thoughts?

Yes Mr. Bennet is probably working for someone, who this person is though is anyones guess

HRG works in a paper making company which is where he secretly does his "real" work. Where did you get Pharmatech from?

I'm still unsure as to how he is able to find people but I'm guessing it's mostly the Haitian who can find this out. Also HRG is incredibly protective of Claire and he knows that there are those who are looking for people with powers so in order to protect Claire no one can know of her gift.

He can't of known of Sylar when Chandra first called because at that point Sylar was still Gregory Gray

I doubt that the only way that things can be known is if people come from the future. Also there was a picture of a guy who looked like Isaac but it wasn't him especially since he was sitting in the next room.

The company he works at is called Primatech. Not sure yet if the entire company is a front or whether there's just a specific division of the company performing this work. Given that they have cells there it looks as if the company is at least involved in the work somewhat. It looks as if his primary task is as an agent locating and cataloging the evolved humans. Sort of a catch-and-release system. Then he's got a personal interest in protecting Claire which as we see can sometimes be at odds with the goals of the organization itself. You're right, it doesn't look like Mr. Bennet is bad per se. Moreso it appears he considers what he's doing to be the "greater good" so he's willing to do some things that might ordinarily seem bad. He wouldn't have known about Sylar before Chandra called him because Sylar didn't even really exist until Gabriel discovered his powers with Chandra's help. It also doesn't appear that someone came from the future and told him about Sylar. It looks like what happened is over time they became aware of someone murdering these evolved humans and just like Audrey was trying track him down he also needed to track him down. The picture that looked like Isaac from the future appears to just be them possibly reusing the same prop corpse.

In my opinion what I think is going on is a "branding" or a "regestration" on supers to know what each one is capable of doing, to know where they are at all times through tracking (maybe).

I am not sure if I've seen claire with the symbol and since he seems deadset to keep claire out of harms way, i'm assuming she doesn't have the symbol. I think HRG knows that primatech are going to try to do something, but he's working for them -- he can't go away from orders but what he can do is keep privaledged information to himself. He can't have anyone know of claire's power, not even herself, cuz that could subject her to his corperation's actions. He doesn't want anything to do with this.

Remember Sylar had about 6 months to grow into what he is now. So that's a lot of killings in a decent amount of time. Murder scenes and all. They know he's out there cuz each super is slowly dying from the hands with the same scalping tool.

I would think that as protective as HRG is that he wouldn't allow the whole symbol on Claire though I could be wrong as I have no idea what his motives are

I'm wondering what the purpose is of tracking down these powers... I can understand Sylar's motive but how about HRG's or the person he's working for? I'm guessing they're planning something big that he wouldn't want his daughter to be part of, something that isn't good news for the heroes. HRG seems evil, no matter how caring he is towards his daughter I can't help but think he's going to be our future villain along with the person he's working for.
