During one of the visions Sanjog helped Mohinder have, Mohinder mentioned to his father that they could use the Human Genome Project to track down the evolved humans. Somehow their version of the Human Genome Project has samples of everyone's DNA or something. How convenient. hehe[/b]

They used the human Genome project to get that list of where the people are but in episode 10 he says that he needs to go around finding them like actually going to the addresses on the list. Based on the journal he aparently was sneaking into their homes and getting samples of hair/fingernails to actually test them and discover their power. And that other guy said that he used sylars help but if thats so then how could he have known what that other persons power of telekensis was. He must have snuck up on him too

My guess is the reason why Sylar Killed CS is because of his brain to figure out the SURESH List.

and the "Human Gnome Project" could be a statistical data collection of Human DNA all over the world. and CS just found the abnormalities and extrapolated it's uses.

I thought that the Human Genome Project just figured out all the kinds of DNA not collect DNA from people all over the world

The HGP sequenced DNA in a way that allows patterns to be seen, mapped, etc. The use of the HGP seems logical to me. CS had limited information to start with. MS suggested using the HGP to prove information or theories CS had from some of the DNA he had collected from "specials".
