Default What happened at the end of this episode?

I'm confused. What exactly happened between Sylar and Nathan and is Sylar now Nathan? Can someone please set me straight?

Thanks!

Well, no one can give a definitive answer to that question as there are so many possibilities.

To get to the core of it all, Nathan got his throat slashed and died.
Parkman reset Sylar's mind to that of Nathan and (for now) he is Nathan.

What happened to Nathan is up for speculation until the next season gives us an answer, or more clues. Even more up for anyone's guess is the answer to the question: Why haven't they used Claire's blood to heal Nathan instead?

Only two options for that:
*The writers wanted to get rid of that aspect and took a rather hasty aproach.
*There's a deeper reason into this from a story point of view.

Thinking those two over again, I personally go with the latter, because of all the depths they've gone through to get rid of Hiro's power and perhaps that of Peter, this just doesn't fit, it's too straight-forward.
It appears season four would be entirely different if they didn't take this road, based on the sneak preview at the end of this episode.

Nathan was already dead. So there in lies your answer.

When Peter used Claire's blood to heal Nathan, after he flew him into the New York skies to go nucular, Nathan was still alive. Thus Claire's blood would still heal him.

Only Claire and Sylar (thx 2 Claire) seem to be able to come back from the dead.

And as for Sylar staying nathan, as long as he stops looking a clocks he should be fine. but we all know the new Nathan will be seeing alot more Clocks in the near future.

Noah Bennet died from a bullet in the eye, I mean come on, don't tell me he wasn't dead otherwise you should rewatch the episode. He was dead trust me, his eyes had a different color.
And even if the writers should say he wasn't, bullcrap come on, HE HAD A BULLET IN THE EYE FOR ****S SAKE

I agree.... This is really beginning to bother me about the show. They lead up to a fight scene between Peter and Sylar quite a few times now, only to be too lazy to show it. They bring characters back to life that they need, and let ones die that they don't. Take away powers from Heroes that they can't control well enough anymore.

Nathan would've been brought back with Claire's blood. And/Or they would've looked for alternate super powered people to bring him back. Sylar would've wiped the floor with Nathan and Peter, and I'm sure would've ripped them to shreds, which is what I would've believed over the current crap.

And with the regeneration, if you can't die unless you severe a spot in the back of the skull, why did Nathan and Peter's Dad stay dead after a bullet to the forehead?

And future Hiro never had headaches and nose bleeds from stopping time and Time Travel, so why all of a sudden does present day Hiro have this problem?

Another minor glitch, didn't the puppet master guy get his neck snapped by Sylar when they were locked up in the company building?

I'm guessing that the real Nathan comes back somehow. And I thought Peter cured Nathan with the other guy's blood. The blonde guy who was Hiro's idol. What was his name?

I'm also guessing Arthur comes back. It was never really confirmed that he was dead.

And yes, not attempting to use Claire's blood to bring Nathan back was out of character for everybody. But this is how they had to proceed to get to the next story.

The blonde guy you are thinking of is Adam Monroe. Claires blood did bring Noah back from the dead so it should be able to bring Nathan back. I think they are waiting for something in season 4 to bring him back. Obviously Sylar will be back to himself because he is already starting with the noticing the clock were off so his natural ability is starting to emerge on its own. Its only a matter of time before he sees what is going on, thats when nathan will some how come back to life. I think Noah has him in Cold storage in building 26.

also...:
Claire died during the eclipse, when the eclipse was over she also came back from the dead...
So if either Noah died from that bullet or didn't.. doesn't matter, they showed us in volume 3 that her blood can bring her (and obviously others) back to life.

Maybe they didn't use Claire's blood because it wasn't part of Angela's dream. Maybe they did exactly what she saw in her dream.

Then again, Angela said that her dreams weren't always complete, so who knows?
