Default What's up with Sylar? (spolier)

So, the way I remember it, at the end of one episode, the Hunter came home, and Sylar was hiding behind a corner. The next week, it starts with Hunter shaving, and is alerted to an intruder. Goes into his livingroom, and the puppetman is all giftwrapped for him.

Why is Sylar giving gifts to the guy? Why was he hiding? He isn't afraid. He could make the Hunter eat his shoe. I guess I'm trying to sync up his conversation with his father to this act. Seems very out of character.

They'll probably get to the details in the traditional flashback episode of the volume later on. You can imagine the general idea, though. Sylar busts in and tries to intimidate him first. Danko is resourceful and not prone to panic, and he manipulates Sylar to feel like he has to prove he's the most dangerous hero.

"Were you afraid you'd have to face me eventually?"

"Well, actually, I was more worried about Doyle, the Puppetmaster."

"What!?"

There's always someone in the volume to mess with Sylar and his fragile ego . . . Elle . . . Noah . . . Angela . . . Arthur . . . Luke . . . and now Danko.

Not sure how Danko will get around the lie detector as the partnership progresses, though.

Danko under estimates people with abilities, especially Sylar!
