| Member | im sure this has been asked a lot but i just cant figure it out apparently it was essential that Peter had his ability, yet he lost his abilities and now they seem to have "reset" so what was the point of it? anyone?

good question... i think because some characters, peter may have not been able to absorb what they do without forcibly taking it from them. Although i really don't have any backing for this theory, but it just seems probably the most likely one...

well i looked at it like this: Peter absorb abilities and doesnt know how to use them straight away, we can compare him to way back in season 1 where he's getting training from Clude the Invisible man

plus (spoiler) by the end of the newest episode it looked like he could only absorb one ability at a time, this could be wrong but it still means he hasnt got sylars

He had to have Sylars ability so that he could understand things and fix and save the world. But he failed!

Not sure; it depends on what exactly F_Peter was trying to do. His actions have now lead to two people who weren't originally involved on either side in the Pinehearst future at all being right in the thick of things now, Sylar and Mohinder. Coincidentally, the same two people P_Peter was lead to in the future. Also, F_Peter knew Sylar well (his kid's not even phased by Peter showing up at their house), so it's pretty obvious he knew about the hunger he was exposing P_Peter to.

not he need his ability, but he can learn some ability in a underconscious way, you know, a learning hero is a true hero.
