For any show to succeed there must be a basis, something the viewer can still hold onto as being true to the show. this is not true for season three. For one, many questions have arisen through numerous "twists" which a). cannot be explained and b). since there are just so many it removes the excitement of a twist to a general norm of the show fully removing the element of shock. There is also no personal attachment to any character, no protagonist or antagonist to the show, so no one can relate. the introducing of new characters makes it too confusing, which also deters the writers from creating any character development through these characters. All these elements would be fine in the show if they were by themselves, but by putting them all together it is overdone, and detaches the viewer from the show. I feel season 3 has lost what season 1 definitely had and what season 2 had as well. I find myself watching the show with nothing to really grip onto. For being such a fan of this show it will turn out better.- especially since it's only a couple episodes in.

im not here to bash anyone, but if you watched last nights episode and you still feel that way then maybe you are not the die hard heroes fan you thought you were...last nights episode was one of the best i have ever seen...definitely in the top three...there are plenty of characters to grab onto... I felt that way until i saw last nights episode...now im completely refreshed into heroes and the direction they are taking...

you both (sapereaude and whiteai) make good points. on the one hand, i see how the constant introduction of new characters can water down the show. i'm all for fleshing out the ones they have already established, i like the old ones and want to get to know them better. and isn't the fact that everyone can do amazing things enough of a twist, how letting their conflicts play out. many dramatic shows are successful in keeping their audience hooked, and they don't have the advantage of characters with superhuman abilities. enough with the daphnes ... i want to know more about sylar and hiro ... and tracy, she's getting so complicated she could almost be spun off into her own show. on the other hand, if episode 4 has taught us anything, it's that there is a plan for where the story is going, we just have to sit back and trust the writing of the show and enjoy the ride. it's tempting to pick it apart, but all (or hopefully most) of it will be explained in due time.

I agree. I actually liked season 2 but season 3 is so far a disappointment... I mean, Ali Larter's character dies, then she reappears but she is Nikki's "long lost twin" - seriously?!? Maybe for season 4 they will move it into the 2pm time-slot opposite all the other soap operas.

Loved the first two seasons...loving the third. This show keeps it interesting and keeps me coming back week after week. I dont need to overanalyze everything. I dont need everything to fit together and make perfect sense. Its science fiction.

Yeah, the only thing that doesn't stop me from watching it is it's so early on in the show. This show IS very different from many shows , and I like it for that exact quality. ps. it would be nice if people actually gave feedback instead of just writing a one liner statement about my opinion, it really doesn't show you know anything about the show

| Senior Member | I think you best sum everything up at the end of your statement. "it's only a few episodes in." I liked season 1 and 2, and so far I like season 3. I'm not confused at all by all of the new characters popping up and this season will be sort of like season 2 in a way, they're out to stop something deadly. It's not a virus this time, but a formula. The season will start unfolding in the next few episodes I'm sure and all of these little questions people have will probably be answered.

After reading all your points I agree and think very little on the death life kill problem can be factually resolved now Problems include our not being fully informed on the similarties between Adam, Claire, and Peter's abilities. Some of the characters may be lying or not full y aware of the schematics every time sum 1 cums ^ w./ a new theorey it gets shot to hell a week later meaning multiple possibilities exist and until all the variables are resolved Peter's scar, Claire's invincibility, Haiten's blocking power, individuals with chemical v. Brain v. cellular powers, Company's exact policeyies on Adam and Sylar: kill or keep, who put Adam in a casket: hero or companey we cannot fully comprehend and criticize the continuity
