| This is just a strong theory I've thought of. Remember last season when Hiro lost his powers for a while? Well, I bet you he had just caught the virus and just didn't notice it (since the one's who do get it usually don't). I bet that now, as Mohinder's blood is no longer effective, someone will find that Hiro's blood is naturally able to fight off the virus after a while. They won't neccessarily use it, but I'm sure that sometime in the future they might just discover this to be true. Does anybody else agree with this? I think actually think it's a pretty good theory. ^-^ |

| This is funny, but I don't think Hiro had have it in the last season. I think he's just still not very skillful on his power. Besides Peter definitely couldn't use his abilities all the time until he meet Claude and that guy told him some measures about using them. The same things happened on Nathan, Niki also, therefore one of them caused the car accident and another one didn't notice her real power until finally she need it. It didn't mean they're infected by Santivirus when they're unfamiliar on powers. |

| Nuh-uh. I think you must have misunderstood me. Hiro had perfect control of his powers for a while, and was completely familiar with them. Then, all of a sudden, they just poofed. Went away- No powers for Hiro. They only came back at the point that he reunited with his father for some sword training. The other incidents that you're talking about involve the points when those characters hadn't EVER known about their powers beforehand. For their entire lives. But in Hiro's case, he just suddenly lost them AFTER having complete control and knowledge of them. There's quite a big difference. I still believe that he had the hantavirus. Can anybody else try and disprove me? I want to completely convince myself- I still think this possibility is completely plausible. =) |

Yes, it's reasonable. But in Mohinder's case he got the antibody from placenta. If Hiro also has cured blood, if it can be used directly into human body and does it work? We know that HIV antibody wouldn't work directly in therapies. Besides, do the writers notice it...or plan it... | |

| "Hiro lost his powers becuase he felt like a failure. He felt like he wasn't a hero." Yeah. Didn't feel like clicking back becuase I forgot to press 'Quote". xP Anyways. I can, for the most part, rule out that explanation. Is everybody born with these genetical powers necessarily a hero? Not exactly. Sylar, for instance. He was in quite a slump and whatnot after that whole ordeal with his mother. But his powers didn't go under wraps becuase of that. And it's more than likely Parkman can be noted for having quite a few lows throught the past seasons- Equivalent or even worse to Hiro's own . . . But he was just fine. And Oldounce. I didn't really understand your first paragraph clearly enough. I suppose I will go back and re-read it. But for now- I supposed the writer's wouldn't notice it. What with them all being on strike and whatnot. ^-^;; Happy holidays, by the way. -Fel |

I think very much the same thing happened to Hiro in the first series. After he couldn't save charly and realizing he couldn't really control what time frame he was jumping to. He just didn't have the self assurance he needed to be able to use his powers effectively. I don't think he was hit by the virus at all in the first season - it was simply that he didn't have enough self confidence to use his powers and so he shyed away from it.

| Member | yes, hiro couldnbt use his powers because he had no self confidence, and felt like he had failed on his mission.
