| captain america, to my knowledge, never bent time of his own accord. the thing about the abilities overlapping, it ties into what mohinder said in the beginning of the pilot, it's areas in the body responding differently to new stimuli, not a direct quote but almost the jist, so there's going to be a fairly finite pool to draw from. as it stands, the offspring are not dependent upon what the super genome allowed their parent(s) to do, but merely that they had one. while it might make more sense for the traits of the prior generation to pass down to the next, it would require a lot of retroactive conformity that would bring the plot down. until then 1+2 ╪ 3, 1+2 = x. it took me a solid 15 minutes to find that does not equal sign, so it better show up. |

| So basically abilities are completely random? The child is born with the super-power gene and at some point in their life it will manifest into some ability? |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | Interesting theories. It does seem very random so far, however, we might get more information as we know more about the parents of the adult Heroes. Like Mr & Mrs Pettrelli, Matt's Dad ect.
