I just finished watching volume one on DVD. I noticed some things... When Noah Bennett and the Haitian tried to capture Nathan in Las Vegas, he flies away. Shouldn't the Haitian have been able to mute Nathan's power? And why didn't Peter just fly away when he was about to explode? Was he really that weak that he couldn't master the power of flight (with his bro standing right there) and his nuke ability at the same time?

This has been discussed in a couple other threads I've read. As for the Haitian not stopping Nathan, either he can choose what to block and wasn't at that moment or his concentration slipped. Or there was a theory he could only block psychic abilities rather than psyhical ones. Why Peter didn't fly away.. The general opinion seems to be that he was too out of control to control the rest of his powers, or trying to use one on top of his current problem could have set him off. They're both very hazy tho. Everything to do with the Haitian is really :P. And the end of season one wasn't much better.

You're right. The last episode wasn't the best. In particular: a) The final fight should have been longer and more intense. b) Hiro's 'killing' of Sylar should have had more emotional build-up. Anyway, the show was still great. Now I gotta catch up on Volume 2.

I thought the haitian and bennet went to get nathan for the political factor. Their expressions seemed to hint that they weren't aware of it. Also, the company didn't have his name. they didn't know about him. i actually recall mohinder saying in the episode in the future, to sylar/nathan somehting along the lines of the fact that no one knows about him, and sylar replying how that power is in fact not dangerous. which means the company didnt know about him, or more people would have known. As for peter, the inivisible man told him that he had to remember what the people felt like to use their powers. or he has to be very mad and in need of them[see episode 2 season 2]. but in the season finale he was...freaking out. its like when you're on fire. you know you're supposed to stop drop and roll, but when you're on fire you dont exactly remember.

The last episode of the first series was a bit of an anti climax, they could have done it better.
