| I'm not sure if this show is written by the same writers that did Alias, but seems the current plot twists image Alias and the second actor from the Alias series to make the cast in the second season, it wouldn't surprise me if there was at least a few of the crew working on the plot for Heroes. Watch the first 2 seasons on alias and you'll see some striking similarities. What does this have to do with Sylar, well I have been wondering what will become of him in the coming seasons. These are in no way spoilers since I do not write for the show nor search for inside information. I have come to certain conclusions that might happen. A. How much is Sylar really like Peter, could their powers truly be the "exactly" the same. We all know both could obtain powers from others but will Sylar soon find out his murder spree was just a catalyst to realize his power. Where the act of eating the brain was purely pointless action. Where Peter would never imagine to harm someone for power it took Peter longer since he never was truly trying to steal power. If this is the case and Sylar finds outs he had gained these powers before even cutting the head off will he have another moral check like at his mothers house (unlikely) or will he purely feel disgraced that he didn't figure it out sooner (he prides himself of seeing how things work inside and out). I just remember from the season finale that when Peter asked the black man he took care of (name escapes me) why he had his powers the man replied because there always has to be a good one. Did he mean Peter was ying and Sylar was yang, being the same in every way except for pure moral nature. I did see the start of the second season hoping for more clues towards this and was given little, so its doubtful even if this might happen it will be some time before they play on this plot point. B.If the above happens and Sylar has a moral, or worse ego check and there is a stronger threat will Sylar join forces with the heroes in the near future to defeat this bogyman. Years of my Alias watching showed me how easy writers will simply turn tables on you making strange bedfellows bringing the main characters in Alliance with the original villain from the first season. As much as I hope the writing will be more inventive than this I worry this might be on going plot in the next few seasons. Tell me what you think or if you sensed this as well |

| first of all, I don't think anyone, other than Molly (the little girl) has ever suggested that Sylar eats the brains of the people that he kills. You never see him with blood on his face or anything like that. Furthermore, if he needed to eat their brains to get their power, he would have eaten Eden's after she shot herself, since the bullet would not have done all that much damage to her physical brain. Instead, we see him attempting to use her power later in the series and failing. His power appears to be nothing like Peter's in that he needs to analyze the brain, as he does clock machinery, to grasp the biology of way it works and then to somehow metabolize that trait himself. In any case, having murdered as many people as he has, there is absolutely no way they can redeem him. He's worse off than Dr.Doom, or any other freelance villain from the mainstream comic world. However, my impression was that in being "killed" he lost all his power, and while they are going to bring him back, obviously, I expect him to be playing a completely different role, though I don't hazard to guess what that is. | That has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I hope this post isnt viewed often because I FEEL dumber for reading this. Even though the brain eating thing is a possibilty since writers will touch on something get it over with it and move on with the intent everyone will now think of him acting like a power stealing zombie. We dont know he did and we dont know he didnt but we do know that your theroy lacks the IQ of a carrot geneticly given the power of retarded (sorry a "special" carrot). Sylar will be the biggest bad guy in the show period dont forget that. Last edited by dustywritings : 10-02-2007 at 06:39 PM. Reason: grammer |

| Congrats on being a troll to a forum your parents must be so proud. With that said, I was only pointing out how I have seen writers take this path. To me the idea isn't very sound and leaves tons of plot holes, but as I said Alias had tons of plot holes and I worry same could happen to heroes by making too many plot twists from season to season. I hope Sylar will simply be their Lex, or Joker, which rarely joined forces with their hero counter parts, but too many time we see story lines try to touch on redemption of evils past if only for a brief time of working for the better good. |
