| My brother and I have developed several deep theories, some of them rediculous, some of them very real. Firstly, we couldn't figure out why Sylar didn't obey Eden when she told him "I'm going to put this gun through the slot, you're going to take it, and blow your brains out". Why didn't he? Most of us should know that he's in the commercials for Volume 2. Remember when Nathan meets Linderman in the Casino, and Linderman displays his ability of healing, and then speaks of friends he once had who want to change the world? We think he's reffering to Angela Petrelli and her husband, Charles Deveaux (sp?), and Hiro's father. The reason we think that is, the whole Petrelli family is connected with Linderman. Mr.Nakamura is deeply involved with Primatech (remember the episode where we see Noah Bennets past and Hiro and his Dad are there at the Deveaux building?), which is invovled with Linderman. Mr.Nakamura also spoke of in the episode where he trains Hiro, of the Nakamura's being noble and special, so we think he has an ability. Also, Angela hinted to it in the episode where Claire goes to the Petrelli Mansion. Doesn't seem possible? Oh, and do you remember when Hiro froze time to kill Sylar, and Sylar un-froze it? I wonder if he somehow builds an immunity to others ability or something... -Ed Faris. |

| well... sylar has a very strange power indeed... He knows how things work... so he might understood how Edens and Hiros powers work.. Of course he cant use this powers yet since i guess he has to study the brain or something first... but he has a hint on how to deal with them when they are unprepared of a retaliation..:P Just a theory... |

| I really miss Eden she was great and her death was completely non-sensical by and standards Sylar should have obeyed her commands, she was clear and pronouncing but of course the writers had to write something to kill her off considering she was always meant to die. |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | I always wondered why Sylar was immune to her command. Didn't really make sense to me. Maybe the glass between them? I guess it really depends on how her powers work. Which I'm not sure how exactly they work. I get what they do, but how they do what they do is another story.

| Its stated that Eden can make anyone obey her spoken commands but that it sometimes takes a few attempts but not when shes so bloody serious and headstrong like in the tragic episode. What I hated was that it didn't even seem to register with Syler that she had given him a command its not as if he's that powerful. |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | Yeah I don't really get that. Maybe it was explained somewhere? That just seems like something he wouldn't be able to resist. Sylar prior to season 2 was ridiculously powerful. It got a little nutty that he could not be affected by other people's powers. Or if he was, it was minimal or something. Wish that would be explained. A lot of mystery shrouds Sylar though so who knows if we'll ever know.
