Default Sylar: Superhero Extraordinaire

Far fetched theory:

Sylar intentionally let the events play out because he didn't want the bomb to go off.

Okay, so the thing is, I like sylar because he's the only real villian. But so far in the show every single bad character becomes good! So I really hope this theory is wrong. But here are my reasons for it:

First: Sylar knew about the "bomb". It's possible that on the rooftop while testing Ted's abilities, he realized the bomb needs to be stopped.

Second: Sylar paints the future. Who knows what he may have seen. Maybe he saw the 'boogie man', and fears him - realizing he will need to team with the 'heroes' to stop him (or get the opportunity to inpect his brain).

And totally off the subject, does anyone else think that future Peter is WAY cooler than present Peter?

I was 99.9% sure that Sylar is the boogie man?

Yes Sylar is actually the "boogieman" but Molly did say there was someone WORSE than the boogieman (sylar) and when she saw him that he saw her too. A convient setup for season 2's new villian I think. And given that Sylar died but was dragged into the sewer by someone/something and is going to be resurrected I would say there is a chance for Sylar to "convert" to good, despite all the evil he has done there is always a chance for redemption.

And yes, Future Peter was so much more awesome and badass than present Peter. He was in complete control of his powers and didn't hesitate to go around killing the bad guys ^_^. Only thing that made me said was not seeing the fight between Sylar and Peter..... that would have been AWESOME

Yeh I know he is the boody man but what he said is "Sylar might have painted the future and saw the 'boogie man'." But he is the Boogie man.

Ah I see what you meant, yeah, just a typo by xbenzinx, what he meant was "Maybe he saw the 'man worse than the boogieman', and fears him".

But yeah it is quite possible for him to become "good" in season 2, with the way writers like to surprise us I could see Sylar encountering someone more powerful than him and changing his ways... I still want to know what he does with the brains, I think it would be cool if he kept them in jars of water at a apartment so there would be like 10 brains floating in jars, that would be cool.

I don't think he will be come a superhero that just means there is no whole point of him being bad in the first series.

He might become like a magneto. Forced to help the good guys for awhile, despite his dislike, but eventually returning to his own plans.
