A Theory Regarding Peters Ability

I dont know if it has been discussed on this forum or not but I wanted to put forth a theory.

In the earlier episodes Peter confronts Nathan about being able to fly and especially flying with Nathan, could it be said that he recieved this ability to predict the future (his first ability) from Charles?? Who stated he saw a GOOD FUTURE?? as opposed to Old woman petrelli who said she saw a bad one?? Thus aneway Peter ended up flying with Nathan??

Am a reading too much into it or does it make sense?

Its plausible that Peter absorbed the power of dreaming from someone although I don't think it would be from his mother, my money would be on Simone's father. I mean, we saw he dreamt about the accident Nathan was in and he knew there was another car there even though Nathan never mentioned it. That plus his vision of him flying, or nathan flying and the vision of him exploding and destroying NY, all dreams. But I think he has the power to dream of the past, present and future, the past would be when he was talking to Simone's father who was somehow able to sense and hear peter even though nobody else did (possiblely because Charles also had the dreaming power) and he dreamt of the present when Nathan's accident that crippled his wife and the dream of the future of him being the cause of the explosion. Either way we know his dream of the future was wrong, events didn't play out that way which proves the future can be changed, just like Isaac's paintings can be changed. Just my 2 cents
