Wrong!! It is ancient Hindu chanting from India. It is in Sanskrit. I am originally from India and I am glad that Indian chanting is getting some exposure. All the more relevant since Mohinder Suresh is from India (Madras in particular - my birth place!)

BTW, on an unrelated note, Matrix Revolutions also used sanskrit chanting at the end of the movie.

Well this might make you NOT want the song but I think the song is based on the same Hindu chant that Madonna used in Om Shanti on the Ray of Light disc. I recognized some of the lines. I want to know the artist who recorded the chant for the show and if the track is available for purchase/download. I wish the production company would provide the information like they do for House (see http://www.have-dog.com/house/).

First, HELLO!!!!! Great show, GREAT. And now, actually, it's another version ofShanti/Ashtangi by Madonna. Don't know the artist or if can be found somewhre, but i like much more this version than madonna's.
