Steve Jablonsky is too tied up with his film work and his weekly gig on Desperate Housewives to do Heroes (fortunately), and Michael Giacchino is also too tied up with his film work and his weekly gig on Lost - plus I'd be surprised if J.J. Abrams didn't have him on board to launch Six Degrees. If he did get involved, at best it would probably be to write the series theme and leave the pilot and episode scores to someone else.

Too bad Danny Elfman doesn't do this kind of thing any more (superheroes, not TV themes)... but maybe NBC Universal'll spring for someone like James Newton Howard or Christopher Young to do the theme music. (Maybe even do the pilot, the way Howard did with ER?)
