I posted a similar thread in the official Heroes forum and got moderate results. I found this and thought maybe I could get more activity from others here.

My thread is creating your character, which has probably been doe before, but I don't just want you to say I made this guy with that power. I would really like to see people flesh their characters out and explain pieces of their powers and agendas; their weaknesses and strengths. I would just like to see people have fun with this. I am going to post a secondary post with the character i created and his story. Also feel free to add to characters as time progresses. Who know maybe we as a forum community could semi write our own season story line totally forum based intertwining with the real season.

My Character:

His nick name is "Wyrm" (sort of a take on worm, but with that dragon/power feel).

Basically He has the ability to touch someone and spread himself,and then spread himself from there on. If he touches you his mind burrows into your consciousness and nests there until he feels like he wants to control it himself. At that moment the host loses all knowledge and blacks out where "Wyrm" now has control of you and/or any powers that person has. It is unknown how many people at once can be controlled though it is usually one at a time because i think his control would dwindle with to many (though I do envision a super fight sort of like the NEO Smith battle where hundreds of Wyrm controlled individuals just engulf a villian with no chance of escape; though this would probably drain if not kill him).

He would be able to control you anywhere at any time, but probably have trouble with those who have strong mental abiltites; AKA Parkman and his Father, who he would attempt to avoid at the expense of being discovered. (I see him burrowing into someone Parkman tries to read and Parkman see two brains spinning in one head, discovering him and his abilities. This of course would probably make a mind reader sick; but someone like parkman would be able to actually communicate with Wyrm that way.)

You would never see his true body but i have a story built around that: The more Wyrm spreads out the less reactive he is in his own body. There fore he is just a normal man who decided to put himself into a mental institution. There in his comatose phases he would have constant care such as feeding and ..... changing. He learned this after disappearing from his body for too long once and recovering to a malnourished half dead version. From there on he needed to incorporate a plan.

His goal is learning of the company and finding out whether he needs to waste his time fighting or joining it. He does this by selectively burrowing into different individuals and finding information and using their powers. As these individuals recover they have little to no memory of their lapse. He is not Hero or Villain, he just is. Further in, the company learns of him a bit and finds ways to watch for him as they search where he really is, sort of like call tracing but he quickly can destroy his worm link in the persons mind if he feels a mind reader is trying to trace him out. He would also be safe of the little girl because technically she doesn't know what he looks like.

I have sort of covered a lot of angles here s this character isn't some omnipotent being that just does what he pleases, he has restrictions and weaknesses, but as long as he stays underground... like a worm, he is safe to run crazy in whom ever he wishes. Movie star one day, rock star the next, flying in nathans body later, he can control you and you wouldnt even realize it.

Later on He can get more powerful just like any hero to the point where he can imprint tasks in your brain he just wants you to do, without even having to technically be there.

also it is unknown to him if his original body died could his mind live on in someone else, but he doesn't want to try.

Control over all molecules.
He'd be able to turn solids into gasses/liquids, liquids into gasses/solids, or gasses into solids/liquids. He'd also be able to control heat since he'd be able to speed up molecules to make it hotter or slow them down to make it cooler. He'd be able to manipulate any type of material, for example: if something gets destroyed (like a windshield on a car gets shattered or something) he could reform it.

Basically anything that's present in the universe, he's able to manipulate it, recreate it, fix it, or make it out of thin air.

Weaknesses:

I don't know yet, but I'm sure there are some. People that could react at fast speeds like Daphne could maybe knock him out and render him harmless for a while. Or if someone sneaks up on him, but if he has time to react to anything it's probably going to be in his favor.

His story: (I'm not good at story telling!)

One night after a long days work he went out to his vehicle to get ready and go home. It was a very cold night and it had been snowing pretty good during the day and night. All of the vehicles were covered in ice, when he finally got into his vehicle he sat there with the defroster on thinking how much he'd wish it would hurry up and defrost, and how much he'd like the heater to hurry up and get him warm so he could get home and set back and watch some TV. The ice on the windows was fairly thick, but to his amazement it was melting at an incredible rate very fast, and he was also warming up very fast. He thought to himself, "the defroster hasn't even had time to heat up that fast," but he didn't care that much since it was doing what he wanted to. After it melted off he began to drive off and went home. When he got out of his vehicle and was walking towards the house he noticed the snow around him started to melt and he noticed the cold outside wasn't even bothering him at all, it felt like it was summer time almost. He started getting a little worried because he'd never seen anything like this before. He stood there silently looking at the snow around him melting more, as he still felt hot. He started thinking to himself that he'd like to be cooler again and it started to cool off again. He thought to himself that perhaps he has done this just by thinking it, so he stayed outside for a little while tinkering around with his new found ability, he thought he could control heat! Over the next few weeks he played with it more and more until he was able to make it hotter or cooler around him, he was even able to make it snow a few times when it wasn't even in the forecast. After a few more weeks he had some vacation time off from work in which he took up the time to play with his power some more, he finally found out he could make certain areas hot or cold depending on what he wanted. He took a spoon outside into the snow and made it freeze over with a thick ice, and then he made it heat up so far that it turned red and was melting the snow around it. After he thought it'd cooled off enough he decided to pick the spoon up and take it back inside, as he picked up the spoon with his bare hands it was still very hot and burned his hands, as he let out a "OUCH!" the spoon turned to water and fell to the snow below. He sat there looking at where the water fell with a very surprised look on his face, how did this have anything to do with controlling heat? After he had went inside and put ice on his fingers for a bit, he went on the internet and began searching about heat, then he saw a word "molecules" that made him think, "everything has molecules, everything is made out of molecules." He knew that heat was from molecules speeding up, and cold was from them moving slow. He knew also that to change a solid (the spoon) into a liquid (the water) the molecules would have had to change. So he decided to get another spoon and attempt to turn it to water, after about 15-20 minutes of trying he finally succeeded. After the next few days he was able to turn the spoon in water as soon as he thought about it, he decided to start testing it and turned it into other things, he made it turn into a rocky spoon, he made it turn into a glass spoon, he made it turn into a plastic spoon. He finally figured out he was able to control any type of molecule. He was so happy about it that he decided to go tell his brother, he went to his brother who at the moment was trying to install a new window into his truck after the other had almost busted from a big rock hitting it. His brother was skeptical of what he was telling him and didn't really believe him. As Justin thought as to how he could prove it to his brother, he looked at the window he was trying to install and had an "Aha!" moment. He told his brother put the window down and after a few seconds of persuading him, his brother did, Justin then told his brother to watch the window, as he did Justin made it turn into a pile of sand. His brother was then in shock at what he had seen! It was amazing! After a few hours of talking about his power with his brother and showing him things he could do with it, his brother told him "Well what am I going to do about the window, I still need one for my truck!", and Justin said, "Don't worry about it, come check this out." They went back outside and Justin told his brother to watch again as Justin focused on where the window would be and he made a window materialize out of thin air right in place in the truck where it should be. His brother was in ever more awe as he saw this. It was amazing, his brother thought. Over the next few weeks Justin was still playing with his power making whatever he pleased. He even started made diamonds out of regular old rocks he found in the gravel driveway. He eventually quit his job, since he wouldn't really need it anymore since he was able to create diamonds out of rocks! He then decided that he should put this power to some use instead of just his own amusement, and his brother and now his family, and a few friends' amusement, so he'd venture out at night in fairly big cities looking for people that would need help or were in trouble. He came across a few in his short while of helping, but he never let them know he was the one to help. The one he liked to share most with his family and friends was how a man stole a woman's purse during one hot summer night, and how he made a patch of ice in the thief's path making the thief slip up and fall down being knocked out from the fall, that was the funniest, but the one he truly liked the best for himself that made him glad to have the power was the night he walked by a house that was ablaze and a woman yelling to the firemen about how her child was stuck inside and she couldn't get to him while the fireman said he was doing everything they could. Justin just merely looked at the house that was engulfed in flames and they immediately extinguished. He enjoyed having this power and enjoyed helping people out, but staying in the "shadows" so to speak, but he always wondered to himself, "I wonder if there are others like me out there, or any other people with powers?" and he hoped that one day his question would be answered.

sometimes a weakness isn't always something like cryptonite or the sun, but can just be his own wear and tear.

Someone like mya would probably be able to interfere with is powers by poisoning his mind. Maybe certain things take longer to reform or break apart, giving apponents reaction time to attack (esoecially like quick mohinder or daphne).

Maybe he just gets very tired when he uses his powers too long.

I know you said you havent thought any up so i was just helping not suggesting, but all in all i like it. I tend to like creative weaknesses more than creative powers, to someone else it may seem my character is almost unstoppable and can just take over anyones mind, but he is very restricted by other's powers and things such as geography and the amount he could begin to spread himself out befor ehis own mind overloads and fries. Not to mention all his powers are external, you find him and he has no real way to defend himself. I wish i had a few more people.

These are interesting characters, (no offense) but you guys have built them up to be really powerful characters. I mean they are awesome ideas but I don't know how they would actually work ya know? They are just so powerful. I mean i'm sure Heroes writers can kill em' off (like the black hole guy who would have been the only one to kill Sylar) but they are nigh impossible to defeat. Especially the Phoenix-esque character (X-Men). Too powerful.

Name: Lokai
Power: The ability of sonic vibration. It would be placing energy in a object to create a specific oscillation, a power to paralyze or even break things by touch. Depending on the substance the effects are different. The human body would feel a sense of paralysis within the certain area of contact usually and less fluid like things such as walls would crack under the energy. Could be dangerous if applied to human skulls at full power, like the brain damage or cracking of skull.
Weakness or Negative effects: For each reaction there is a opposite and equal reaction. By forcing a object to oscillate, the part of the body used also has this effect applied to it in a lessor force. In a sense a double edge techniuqe caused the fact he touched the object. Now of course it is not as harmful to himself but since he places energy in then energy constantly leaks out in a lessor form.
Alignment: Nuetral mercenary turned temp hero due to Sylar and the Company. He seeks revenge against Sylar for killing someone and wants to prevent a company from ever being formed due to the fact he sees such a organization as inefficient and a interference to the natural process of humanity.
Story: A man named Sylar kills the mercenarys friend who was hired to hunt Sylar by the company. Apon his defeat Lokai seeks the one who killed his friend not to get revenge at first but as a personal challenge. Eventually in his preparations to ambush Sylar on a even play field, the company takes in Sylar to work for them which leads Lokai to uncover information that the Comany may have setup his friend as bait to capture Sylar.
He is then presented with a new problem along with having to find a way to defeat Sylar without dieing and taking down any organization that trys to hunt people with abilities. He knows general information of other people with abilities but is not a team player as he mainly chooses to solo his mission.
He losses track of Sylar but as of now has decided too find a person with ability to match Sylars in power but still under his control. Though he learns Sylar supposely died, as a experienced soldier he knows to trust gut feelings and his tells him the hunt is still on. He currently searchs for a person who can supposely manipulate reality as their ability.

Her story:

Polly Petrilli is Peter's secret evil twin sister. Arthur had really cool evil plans for her. Angela does not remember because Arthur wipes memories like he wipes buttholes. Polly is the owner of a Zoo because as a child she and her foster super parents went to the zoo everyday and she made friends with the angrier animals. She mercilessly stabbed the old owner to death. She discovered that her new Zoo's eagles had the super power gene, so she has 5 eagles with powers. They are all giant eagles. One of the eagles has the ability to find other people with powers. Polly eventually staffed her entire Zoo with people who have super powers. Arthur Petrelli stopped one day to see how his evil secret daughter was doing. He tried to mind control Polly into joining his special powers empire, but one of her eagles had the power to stop that ****. Arthur was ashamed and went home sad.

His Story:

A 43 year old performer loses himself in thought one day while getting dressed for yet another Vegas show to a near empty house. He can't shake the overwhelming feeling that he is and will die as another 2-bit vegas magician. After several minutes of losing himself in self-pity, he drags himself to the stage. As the host begins to call his name, an intense feeling of confidence overwhelms him. He must break the chains of vegas performer life and be someone. As they call his name, he decides he wont do another show, but the hunger for cash compels him to do so. As the battle plays in his head, he feels a part of himself seperate from him, and he stands there staring at a ghost of himself giving that oh so overdone show. at first he thought he was losing his mind, but the audience sees it too. His greatest illusion ever, yet is it?
The show is almost over now, and there stands david offstage wallowing in his genius gift. What can he do with this, how can he profit?
3 years later, David sits at his favorite table at his favorite casino, staring at his 4th royal flush this week, atleast what 'they' think is his fourth royal flush this week, when he gets a tap on the shoulder. The bouncer gets ready to grab him, and david suddenly vanishes. As the bouncer looks around for david, he sees everyone at the table is david. As the bouncer, still standing there, rubs his eyes and trys to figure out exactly what is going on, david is already cashed out, enters his car and speeds away.

Story:

Johny was born with the power to control his aura, i.e. rage or strength, and things along that line. (Though, he does not find out until he meets his brother). One day, he finds out that his brother, who he thought dead, is actually alive. His brother, Rex, died along with his parents from a terrorist attack. One day, a man comes up to Johny that he previously has never met. The man claims to be Rex. Rex pleads to Johny to come and help him get revenge. Johny states that his brother Rex died long ago. Rex says that he lived, and was able to transfer his mind into someone elses body, i.e. the aura manipulation. Johny refuses to believe him and tries to leave. When Rex tries to force Johny to come with him, Johny gets upset and discovers his hidden potential. When Rex sees this, he realizes that Johny has a stronger body than anyone he’s ever seen. Rex tries to take over Johny’s body, but since they are basically two in the same people, both their minds get caught in the same body. The resulting being is ‘T’, a sentinel working for a secret agenda, possessing both the ability of aura manipulation and aura control. If he feels he wants a power, all he needs to do is suck the aura out of a human, thus taking their power, and killing them too. Johny wants to rid himself of Rex, but Rex swears revenge on the killers of his family, and will stop at nothing to do it, even if it means killing other that are in his way. Late into his life, Johny is able to hold back Rex, and kill no-one, but when Johny discovers that he has a son, Rex realizes that this is his time to try and take over the body, and use the son to fulfill his last demands.

If you want to know more, wait until my novel ‘T’ comes out. I am around 200 pages in. I know it sounds stupid, but I’ve been working on it for a while now. I’ve told 5 of my closest friends, and for the most part, they think it’s really good. Along with the 5 of them, you too now know the story of Johny and Rex. The story centers on a handful of characters, but the main character is Domenic Till. I don’t want to ruin anything else for you guys just in case this becomes big, (Which most likely it won’t), but just in case it does.
