I've actually followed the show from the first episode. In fact I've seen every episode, some several times. I must say I think the concept is a good one and some of the characters are rather interesting. However, the writing on the show is so bad it really ruins it for me. Seems the general theme of the show is super powered people in the "real World". Though they act so ridiculous at time it makes me change the channel and watch Future Weapons on Discovery instead. For starters the entire "bad guy"entity of HRg makes no sense what so ever. Your talking about normal humans kidnapping and holding super humans with demi god like powers. Granted most of them are rather mundane like reading minds. Cool I can read minds but that does nothing against a gun. However, factor in Ted the radioactive guy. If your a walking nuke who cares if you have guns. Anyone that comes near him flash fried or gets cancer. If you shoot him he explodes and kills you anyway. Yet he sat in his cell in the last episode with this "Woah is me I got capture, guess I'll just sit here" attitude. If this was the "real world" and any normal person with that kind of power was put in a room he would just roll his eyes, melt the door and give cancer to anyone that got near him. Likewise, the episode in which he was shot and about to explode Claire is able to resist his meltdown because of her healing powers and inject him with the sedative. So, I ask you... If the nuclear fire was hot enough to burn down the house and melt most of her skin off then why didn't it melt the needle? Your talking about plastic, metal and glass here. Even if its some magical hero made super element why didnt the liquid inside boil? Moving on from here. The idea of HRG trying to capture the Claire makes no sense either. I can understand why they would want to capture her, probably to graft her bones with mental and give her retractable claws. That hasnt been doen before right? However, the problem is her to begin with. What is she afraid of anyways>? The girl is invicible!!! She could walk through a nuclear melt down and come out like it was nothing. What could they possibly do to her, shoot her? So what? Seems like if normal people had all these super powers dealing with people like HRG would be like swatting flies in the park. Of Course there are now obvious continuity errors. When Future Hiro stopped time on the train to talk to peter he said "I didnt recognize you without your scar" yet not hes got Claires healing ability so he cannot scar, ever again! Future Hiro wouldve known that. Just as With mondays episode Future Hiro wouldve remembered meeitng his past self in Isaacs place. Why would he act surprised? Now it takes me to the dumbest moment in the entire Heroes serie so far. Mondays fight between peter and sylar. Give me a break. I smacked my head about 5 times during that one. SO, peter repels sylar with telekinesis and they face off. He goes invisible and sylar lifts the glass fragments to find him. yet for some reason he went invisible and jsut stood there looking at him? why didnt he move away? he could see the glass. Hell why didnt he fly away? or walk behind him and do something to him like kick him in the head? He also seemed to have gotten stabbed in the back of the head. This means not only did he just stand there like an idiot but he turned his back to the guy he was fighting. Did he think "Well This isnt fair he cant see me. I know Ill turn around then I cant see him and we will be even"? So, anyways peter is now semi dead. But just in the nick of time Suresh knocks sylar out with the board and they make their escape. Ummmm why didnt he just kill sylar when he was knocked out? The guy was laying right there. He already had a gun. Shoot him in the head, roll credits the end. Even if for some reason the gun no longer worked, lets say wizards did it, use a piece of broken glass and cut his throat. Or just beat him to death with a chair. Or hell tap dance on his face all night long, I'm talking river dance son! Any normal person wouldve done that. No let me rephrase that.... Any mentally functioning person wouldve done that. If I think of any other obvious flaws I'll send an update. just tell me what you all thinkso far. Peace

While I don't agree with everything you said...I too was wondering why Mohinder didn't finish off Sylar. He could have plugged his head with a few bullets, or hell...he could have just stomp-kicked Sylar in the head a few times until we found out what makes him tick. I guess Mohinder was afraid, but c'mon...he's right there, finish him!!!! OK I guess it would screw up the story, and Mohinder isn't exactly the killer-type.

| Senior Member | Yes I agree, but when I'm watching it I get way into it and don't even care about that stuff.. Like Mohinder not killing Sylar. I didn't wonder about till the next day. Could have been I had a couple of beers slowed down my thought process.. I still love it. It can get fustrating thinking too much into it. Like the needle you mentioned. But I get that way with Lost so [shrug]

But your right Fernando, if you worried about every single detail...it can drive you mad. It's still a great show regardless.

he was kind of freaking out because Peter got killed, he wasn't thinking straight, that's feasible. second, you have no idea what the company knows, or what they can do. They probably have some way of making people not able to use their powers, like um, I don't know, the Hatian...he's there and no one does anything, simple as that. You some other valid points, but its a tv show, get over it.

yeah i agree, mohinder should have killed sylar right then and there--instead of . . . doing what exactly? hailing a cab with peter's 'dead' body slung over his shoulder, heading uptown and dropping him off at chez petrelli? or did he take the subway, i wonder. duh. and then only to have mama petrelli shoo him away like the hired help. anyway i think it was just a (clumsy) device to get the petrelli family all in one place so we could see how they deal with claire.

I think the clumsiest plot device is when the writers turn off Matt's mindreading ability whenever it suits the story.

In the alternate reality if Claire died, Peter never met Claire, and thus never got her power, and thus could still get a scar.
