Its been a long time since i saw DBZ but the similarities are there. Firstly, when we see future hiro he is much more serious and confident than his present self + he carries a sword, Trunks is exactly like this. Secondly when Nathan petrelli flys away from bennet and the Haitian the vapour trails he creates are very similar to the way they flew in DBZ. And also in the picture Issac paints, of Peter supposedly going nuclear, could it be Peter going super saiyan. Just looking for some confirmation on the similarities or maybe im just going insane lol ![]()

Are you kidding? You must be trying very hard to be looking for similarities, because you could take any scene from any episode and find dozens of differences. First, the basic plot line of DBZ and Heroes is completely different. Heroes centers around ordinary people who find out they have extrordinary powers. The premise centers around people with powers going about their lives, while some want to save the world. The plot reminded me more of Alan Moore's Top 10 or Watchman, or Rising Stars, which is most likely Heroes main influence. DBZ story centers around several powerhouses battling out for dozens of episodes. Not similar if you ask me. Hell, DBZ started out as being influenced from Superman. Think about it, an alien with a heart of gold that lands on earth, has superhuman strength, flies without wings, and becomes a hero. Sound familer? Picolo even looks like a familer Justice League character. The idea of a time traveler meating their future self and finding they are completely different is one of the oldest, most overused cliches in history. It certainly didn't originate with DBZ. Heroes could have picked from over a dozen 60s Sci-Fi stories, or an issue of an old Marvel or DC comic for that idea. The sword is most likely a coincidence. Peter going nuclear is not him going super saiyan, he obviously absorbed the nuclear guys power and can't control it. The only similarity is probably the vapor trail, but this could be more the fault of the CGI team then the creator. If you want to be that nitpicky, there are thousands of those little details in any episode of Heroes, that bear no similarity to DBZ.

Im sorry but heroes is nothing like DBZ at all The sayain race are a carbon copy of the spartans. when a sayain was born and was thought not to have strength they would be discarded as with goku being sent to earth. There are more examples of this but i dont really think this is the forum to do it in. 1/10
