Are we being fooled? Anyone else notice they brought back old powers?

To name a few:

Claude Reins' - Invisibility - Claire's Sorority sister

Linderman - Healing - Guy who was suppose to save Hiro

Matt's Ex-Gf - Superspeed - Knife guy

This season is definately different from the rest.. it doesnt have any precognitions/villains

The reason why season one was so good was because of the awe at all of the new found abilities mixed with a super-serial killer, now its just some weird story being told with no real villains..

The carnival people seem to be villains outside of the carnival, but when we see them at home they are just a happy family sitting down eating waffles..

Sorry i couldnt help going off topic.. but the main issue is they are showing us stuff in a new way..


My opinion [You can ignore this if you want] They should have reset Peter AND Sylar as they were at the start of season 1, so they can once again race each other at collecting abilities.

Well thats the reason i watch the show, to see everyone use their abilities,

i dont really care about stupid family issues;
Mich/Nikki/Jessica/DL/iPod Girl
Claire/Noah Bennett
Angela/Her Sons
Haitain/His Bro
Sylar/His Dad
Hiro/His family
Sullivan and his god dam gypsy family.

i actually noticed this too and agree with you- i think it's pretty lame that they are reusing powers with new characters. guess claude, matt's ex, etc. weren't THAT special, lol. season 1 will always rule, and it's probably because it was all so new. subsequent seasons will only try to reach that standard.

Old abilities in different ways, claude and daphne didn't use their powers to kill people, mr. linderman didn't appear to control the flow of life. Since the show mimics comic book structure, it's nothing new to reuse powers, recycle characters, etc. It's already been made obvious that powers can and do repeat, it's a way to use powers in a way that don't fit the character they're attached to.

Also this may be a plot hole to a certain extent, but at the start of season 3 future Peter ressurected Nathan from death with a healing ability.. if that is possibile then why was Angela so upset and desperate the second time Nathan died?
