the kid's unstable, well he was Noah wanted to try and set the kid straight, thinking he could have avoided the prison sentence by manipulating the system like he always could. Peter would have to be in contact with the boy to teleport with him, we don't know if he can decide when to take or not. The point is, he couldn't be relied on to do what they wanted him to do and Noah wanted to help him, not use him.

i think there is enough evidence to show that peter can choose to take powers IF he knows the person has a power (if he doesn't know, he will take it by default). just based on previous discussions. but yeah, HRG always thinks he can manipulate the system, and this time he came up short.

I'm sure he didn't accidentally take the ink power when Peter touched the carnival guy.

What I want to know is why Peter's taking Sylar's power last season didn't pretty much restore Peter's power.

From what I understand Sylar is a broken empath. He can gain powers through empathy but he's also a sociopath, and finds it very difficult to gain powers that way. So if Peter took his power shouldn't he be able to gain multiple abilities again?

Then again they really have screwed around with Sylar's power. First he looks a brains sees how they work, gets a power. Then they say he's an empath and he get's lightning girl's power without killing her. There was also that bit with Peter getting the "Hunger" from future Sylar. I always thought that was just an obsession but w/e.

Fatjo is right as usual, Peter is not hurt his powers were stolen by Arthur, so healing will not return his powers. Peter taking Sylar's powers wont restore his own or return those abillities he had aquired, he will simply gain one or more of Sylars power.

I will have to watch the Sammual Peter interaction again, I did not get that he was trying to give his power to Peter. If that is true for what porpose

Rowancv there is nothing at all certian in Heroes esspecially powers and how they work, It seems to be that the writers just come up with an idea they think is good and just run with it regardless of any earlyer story line they developed
