i'm on board with the emotional transfer idea. peter's still an empath, albeit a less powerful one. i think it speaks volumes that he feels more for the deaf girl than sullivan. it's also possible, in a heroes sort of way, that because sullivan was busy transferring the ink stuff into peter that the power transfer didn't occur. what i do think is that the power will actually come in handy with the lil invisible sorority girl going around.

If that was the case then he would've absorbed Angela's power when he hugged her before leaving his house. We know he didn't because he used Super Speed when he left.

but do we know what the compass actually does? At first I thought that it found other heroes/villians, but then I remembered Lydia's powers and they wouldn't need Peter for that. Besides he would have had to have known that Peter wouldn't go for that. And Sullivan is another confusion because what exactly is his power? Control over earth? Then how do we explain the tattoos (which by my guess coincides with a heroes base power)?

Samuel Sullivan has the ability to move Earth and manipulate minerals (ink) with the power of his mind.

Peter wasn't using Samuel's power when we saw the spinning compass on his arm. That was Samuel manipulating the ink to appear as a spinning compass on his arm.

Yeah. I didn't like that Arthur took Peter's powers, also didn't like the disposal of Arthur cause he was such a powerful villian.

I'm not a huge fan of Peter only being able to hold on to one power at a time.

I do like that Peter isn't stuck with the flying ability like he was most of last season. And he's been using his power to save ppl.

That clears a lot up! But if the compass thing is true, then what about Lydia? I still believe that the ink that he uses is manipulated by the host's base power.

i think the compass, is just a trademark type thing, like a "family crest" type thing, because when sullivan's brother died in the beginning of the season, he buried him with a compass, and when the speedster showed up at the bank peter and arthur were at, inside the safety deposit box was another compass, so i think it's just a way of them saying its our family.

as far as peter, im still confidant he'll get his original powers back, so he can start absorbing people's abilities again just by being around them.
