it wasn't made clear that they were divorced. i was under the impression from season 2 that he was gonna try to get his act together so he could come back to his family.

and yeah, to the last post he does always seem to be a little confused, but like his brother said in the future, he does believe that what he does is the right thing, regardless of whether it is or not.
