Default Linderman's a Guardian Angel

Think about it....

His power is to heal things, or bring the dead back to life. Remember when he brought that dead flower back to life, and when he healed Nathan's wifes paralysis.

Despite being dead he still healed Nathan and brought him back. Linderman is his angel. Which is kind of ironic considering he's an evil character with angelic power.

Only Nathan can see his guardian angel.

Makes sense.

Most likely, the writers will never tell us. It's just another stupid deus ex machina.

I can by the angel-metaphore.

Just we will to wait a really long time to see which angel he is.

My strongest 2 candidates would be a) Samael (satan) and b) Gabriel.

And since b) is sort of already taken by another guy ...

At the end of episode 4 Angela Patrelli said that some one hidden is controlling us (or something like that), this hidden entity could be projecting Linderman to provoke certain judgments in Nathan.

I will second this projection-thesis. Linderman as the hidden ones mean.
A little to absurd maybe, like some evil God sending angels here and there, and then some good God sending out other angels to fight back..
Very biblical, but then again, isnt that was is the essence of most Good Vs Evil plots. Did evil exist in pagan theories, not to the extremes of christianity. In old norse mythology, even the bad ones had some human sides and vice versa. So it is maybe just impossible to give a very extreme plot (like this extremely bad hidden guy...), without becoming a little biblical.
