I think linderman is not actually linderman.

I think it's Nathan's dad who is a very powerful power mimic and has astral projected and healed Nathan remotely. I also think that this is the person suggested as the shadowy puppet master and that he went into hiding after the formula gave him powers that he thought the company may deem too dangerous.
