Sylar's right: she can't be killed by any normal methods as long as she has an ability. All you can truly do is incapacitate them. Peter didn't physically blow into pieces. They push it outward and are protected from it (they're the eye in the storm, so to speak). Otherwise, everyone with this ability would die, as you pointed out. In theory, Adam could repeatedly suffocate and starve to death.

!!!!!!!OR SERIOUSLY HURT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems to cause some pain when they use it, and can drain their strength. Also remember the Haitian said to Claire that the company could do things to her the not even she could recover from.

The Company could, certainly. They could just leave them in a way their brain can't function (like Sylar did to Claire this year) or god knows what. I suppose that drug cocktail they give out to suppress abilities would stop her too. Edited because I just thought of something: what if Claire's brain is what's immortal? I know Mohinder says it's the adrenal gland, but maybe that's what Sylar meant by her being special/different from everyone else? If that's the case (the brain can continually regenerate), you could stop them by separating the brain from them, but you could never kill them. Perhaps that's why there is a brain in the vault where the virus is in Season 2? That would still synch with Season 1, because if Sylar originally took Claire's brain like he usually does, what the odds of him returning it to the Company?

| Season 1, Claire put her hand in the garbage disposal, fingers all chopped off and she didn't even scream...she was suppose to feel pain back then...and how does blood clean off her hand by itself? Also she had peice of wood on her side, she pushed it out, she didn't feel a thing. Now in season 3, she says she can't feel pain no more...very inconsistent. |
