HEROES Wins People's Voice Award for Mobile Entertainment

Well, I must've forgot to post the info here, however, the voting's done and HEROES won the inaugural People's Voice award for Mobile Entertainment (although, in hindsight, I kinda think the mobile site isn't very complete)!

Anyway, sweet! The other award available was a Webby, but that went to cosmo... So, the only award in which our votes had any influence was the People's Voice award; that's pretty cool for the inaugural mobile entertainment award category!

The Webby Awards presents two honors in every category -- The Webby Award and The People's Voice Award -- in each of its four entry types: Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video and Mobile. Members of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences select the nominees for both awards in each category, as well as the winners of the Webby Awards. However, you, the online community, determine the winners of The People's Voice by voting for the nominated work that you believe to be the best in each category. Each year, the People's Voice Awards garners hundreds of thousands of votes from the Web community all over the world.

ETA the news that there'll be a "star-studded" awards ceremony:

Winners will be honored at the star-studded 12th Annual Webby Awards Gala in New York on June 10th. Hosted by Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, the ceremony will showcase winners delivering the Webbys' famous five-word speeches. The winning mobile Websites will be saluted alongside a remarkable slate of special achievement honorees, including Stephen Colbert (Webby Person of the Year) and musician and producer will.i.am (Webby Artist of the Year).
