Sendhil RamamurthyOne of the weakest aspects of Heroes, at least in my mind, are the voiceovers that often open and close each episode of the series.  Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy certainly has a lovely voice, but the narration is often written to violently pound the episode's themes into our heads, as though we're too dense to figure them out ourselves.  Since I'm quite tired of listening to Mohinder drone on about evolution, I'm excited to report that someone else may be taking over the narrating duties when the show returns for its third season.  According to Michael Ausiello at TV Guide, creator Tim Kring is said to be seeking "an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice."

This is just random, but I always thought that its weird how Mohinder (who came from India) speaks real proper english quickly and using all these fancy words...while other charcaters speak slang even though they lived in America there whole life...this makes me wonder how the proper English language throughout the years have started to fade away...

Sendhil Ramamurthy's ( Mohinder) voice was really great whenever i hear him talking about genetic things in the starting and the ending of some episodes...
if he as a narrator will be changed by some Australian actor...well, gud luck to that Australian guy...hope he can do great just like Sendhil Ramamurthy...

I guess I'm in the minority in regarding Mohinder voice narration as annoying. It's not his character that irritates me- it's his lines! The incessant droning on about evolution and the "primordial soup" wears a bit thin and usually makes very little sense after you've heard it for the umpteenth time. I'd love to see them adopt a "different narrator in every episode" mentality. That way we could hear things in one episode from Sylar's warped perspective, the next from the serious Mr. Bennet, and the next from the faithful Hiro, and so on...

You're not the only one katolms. I think they should drop the narration all together. It's so cheesy and annoying.

Enjoy it while its on. Most likely there won't be a 4th season after the ratings bomb come September. Season 2 did waaay too much damage in concert with the writers strike keeping it off the air for more than a year. The response to this in September will be... that show is still on? Meh.

I wouldn't exactly call Mohinder's voice overs "dreamy" but I'm certainly not annoyed by them (we really NEED a different word for a positive vote option than "dreamy"-now CLAUDE! I find HIS voice, and the rest of him, rather DREAM INSPIRING, but maybe it's just me). I missed that there was less of Mohinder's narration in season 2. I know there are a lot of folks unhappy that some other character is supposed to be narrating for season 3, but given what I've seen of the plot via the still running ARG and the graphic novels online, it does make sense.

I think Sendhil Ramamurthy is definitely dreamy, but I agree with katolms that his lines are SO! ANNOYING!

a new narrator!?NO WAY...i like when Sendhil Ramamurthy is narrating..he just makes a very good job...no australian guy will ever replace the job of Mohinder...it will blow up the story line because it makes no sence in another narrator that didnt follow the story from the beguining....
