David Anders Talks 'Heroes' Season 3

I have to admit that I didn't like many of the new characters that were introduced in the second season of Heroes. Claire's new boyfriend, West, was creepy and annoying, Maya and Alejandro were useless, and Micah's cousin, Monica (Dana Davis), wasted an awesome super power on playing Double Dutch. However, one character that I truly did love was the evil Adam Monroe, played by former Alias star David Anders. The last we saw of the wannabe Takezo Kensei, he was buried alive by Hiro (Masi Oka) after attempting to release a deadly virus. Is it really possible to keep a good villain down?

Anders recently spoke with SyFy Portal about whether or not he'd ever return to the series. Beware that there are spoilers for the third season of Heroes below, so don't read on if you don't want to know.

I can only laugh at the fact that he made a David Blaine reference. And while I'm glad he'll be back, Angela Petrelli is just as good for me. Cristine Rose is amazing and needs to have more to do. Hopefully they'll give the focus to lots of villains, as they're a lot more interesting than heroes.

Yeah, I do want to see more villains. I wish they had gotten rid of Sylar and brought in some fresh evil at the end of season 1. I like Sylar, but I wish someone would follow the Buffy route and give us new big bads every season.

Oh yuck I hated Adam on the show....it was boring and there is already a character that can rapidly heal....hello....having another one is BORING! I would like to see numerous different ones as long as the show continues....definatly, like Buffy....that would be great!

I want to see Sendhill with some kind of skills -- see how he handles it. That would be cool.

Still upset with you Milo, Am the only one for you --- I want to see that relationship broken up, totally not cool for the show. Yeah! Yeah! call me what ever you want.

Adam is an interesting character and I figured we hadn't seen the last of him. Hiro's gonna be in for it when Adam gets free as it is likely he will be furious.

I'm hoping to see some season 1 folks return too; not everyone who hasn't been seen since then is dead you know. Yeah, I miss Claude, a lot.

It sounds like volume 3 will be very interesting. I can't wait to see the new season and how many villains will be shown. Adam will have to come back since he was a cool villain and we need more villains to cause trouble.

Most fot he new characters do suck no offense. They completly ruined this seaosn and the story line. But I do like Takezo Kensei (Adam's) character. He plays are really great villian. If they want to bring in more character, bring them in for small amounts of the show not entire story lines and at least make them interesting. Hopefully next season will be back to the way first season was...GOOD. I was really bored with this season. More villians and more trouble sounds great to me.

Loved him as Julian Sarc on Alias - it was so damn hard to hate him even when he was a complete nuisance to Sydney and company. His return to Heroes 3 is more than good reason to keep tuning in.

I enjoyed some of the other storylines. I was not a huge fan of Maya and her brother, but it showed us that these abilities are spread around the world just a little bit more. It showed us the pain that they can cause. And with Monica, we see someone grow into her power, learning about it. I am sure as time goes on, she'll catch up with the other Heroes and wow us with storyline.
