i kinda got the feeling that Deveaux was like Professor X or Gandalf or some sage-like dude. Cuz that was some freaky crap in How to Stop an Exploding Man, it didn't seem like it was Peter doing it and Deveaux was dead. | ||

| I had the same thoughts on Angelas power (Precog) Perhaps Deveaux has some sort of spirit guide thing. Similar to what Sanjog Iyer (boy with soccer ball) can do. I think it has got to be something with dreams since when Peter had the dream where he was flying with Deveaux and Deveaux died the next morning after saying to Simone that Peter had flown with him.. Or something like that...

| Well, Tim Kring said that if you think about Peter, you'll know Angela's ability and I've watched and rewatched all of the episodes and I think her power has something to do with knowledge. I hadn't thought about precog dreams though. And at the very beginning of the 1st season, Peter was talking to Angela and he talks about how he know Nathan was hurt before he got the phone call. And we see that he was having a nightmare and just woke up before he actually got the phone call later in the season. So I think it is very likely that Angela's power has something to do with precog and dreams but I don't think she is responsible for Peter's thing with Deveaux at the end of the 1st season. Probably Peter doing it without realizing he was (like when he stopped Claude from hitting him with the stick without knowing that he was telekenetic). |

| Peter had the dream about nathan's accident before he started working for mr. deveaux, didn't he? i'm not sure of the chronology but i thought the accident happened just after the party celebrating his decision to become a hospice nurse, which would give him exposure to his mother but not mr. deveaux... |

| you guys are awesome. i forgot all about peters dream before nathan's accident AND his flying dream when deveaux died. now i'm even MORE confused. the dreams seem intrinsically linked to deveaux, but all other evidence still makes me think that the precog dream is a power absorbed from angela. that quote of Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander in my post above makes me think that peter has used angela's power in an obvious way at some point, but if her power ISNT precognitive dreaming then what is it? |

| 1.) from whom did peter absorb his telekinesis? 2.) if you answered "Sylar", then why hasn't peter seemed to have absorbed any of sylars other powers? 3.) couldn't he have absorbed that same power from someone other than sylar? (e.g. adam and claire have the same power, maybe angela or deveaux had telekinesis) |

| i'd file that in the category of "maybe but probably not" peter said he got the power from sylar and he didn't start using it until after he met him... eh, it's a theory though |

| well, also, if the dream was before he ever started working for deveaux, that doesn't mean that peter hadn't at one point been in close vasinity to deveaux. It Angela and deveaux were friends then how do we know that peter hadn't been around him as a child and what ever deveauxs power is just layed dormit in peter. Peter could have absorbed all of Sylar's powers just never used them, mabey a similar "dormit" thing. |

| thats exactly what i'm getting at. some of peter's powers have clearer origins than others. i'm continuing to come around to parkman FTW's opinion on the prophetic dream power's origin, and i understand what eapattie is saying about dormant powers, but this show reminds me so much of 'The X Files' that i feel like we are being misdirected. i'm sure that none of these questions will have concrete answers until tim kring reveals them to us, but i also think that (like the x files) we're being given lots of clues. furthermore, i don't think sylar would get peter's entire arsenal of powers if he did whatever he does to peter's brain, i think he would only get the power absorption. conversely, i think peter can only absorb sylar's intuitive aptitude power, and not anything from sylar's aquired arsenal. this is what i believe just because there has to be an internal logic to any fictional world, and things within the story would dissolve into chaos if power absorbers and power stealers are going around swapping and stealing dozens of powers. |
