I'm new on here and I really don't want to spend hours trying to see if anyone else has posted this so please forgive if someone has. I have noticed that in two episodes they show flashes of the bomb going off in daytime:1) When Hiro travels 5 weeks forward and is being interrogated by the police in Isak Mendez's apt; and 2) When Peter collapses and has the dreams where all the characters are around him in the empty city right before he explodes. Both of these situations occur in daytime, yet in the season finale when he does explode, its nighttime. I'm wondering if the writers have ever explained this. I feel like it was a lazy slip-up perhaps, but maybe I just haven't looked into it enough.

I'm thinking that when Hiro travels 5 weeks forward and is being interrogated by the police in Isak Mendez's apt, it was a slightly altered alternate future (perhaps it wasn't a version of the future in which the cheerleader had been saved); and that when Peter collapses and has the dreams where all the characters are around him in the empty city right before he explodes, it is a precognitive dream (perhaps a power absorbed from mom?) in which precise details are not always accurate (claire is in a freaking cheerleader outfit in manhatten).

You could be right. But i read that "It was stated by Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander during a December 2007 Word Ballon podcast, that viewers have seen Angela Petrelli's powers used on the show, not by Angela but by Peter." and i'm nearly certain that precog dreaming is the only power peter has exhibited that i don't know who he got it from. Also, from my impressions of peters meeting with deveaux in How to Stop an Exploding Man, i think deveux had powers far beyond dreaming the future. then again, maybe the precog dreams are just the beginning of that powers manifestation.
