Recently, TV networks have been experiencing an unexplained drop in viewership.  Huge ratings dips have the entire industry perplexed but network executives are not taking this trend lying down.  In an unprecedented move, all five of the networks have decided to pool their efforts by combining their most popular shows in order to create single ratings powerhouses.  Take a look at what is already in development for the fall:

NBC:

The Lost Heroes

As New York City nears destruction, Hiro saves the cheerleader and all of her paranormal pals by transporting them all to an uninhabited island in the Pacific.  Once there, Hiro's powers go on the fritz after the group gets too close to a mysterious hatch, stranding the Heroes on the island forever.

Or until the series finale which ever comes first.

How about DWTS and Grey's for Dancing with Anatomies...then we can see where the real chemistry is between everyone!

Aww, shouldn't Fox's hit have something to do with its best drama? Maybe have House on the judging panel for American Idol...

Fiercynn - hmm..perhaps House Break - where House attempts to escape from the hospital with a map encoded into a patient's CAT scan?

No I agree with Fiercynn's first suggestion...put Dr. House on the judging panel. he would give Simon a run for his money on being the biggest a-hole on tv...but would be MUCH more entertaining and funny (and even better looking) than Simon.

All of those ideas really suck...for a bunch of networks trying to find a way to boost ratings, and this is what they're working on, I'm a little concerned for the future of TV period. If any of those ideas start making their way to the TV screen, I'm going to stop watching network tv and strictly watch Cable...

Yes, it was a joke - but it is true that viewership has dropped off like crazy. Lost down 10 million from their highest point.

And the more I think about House filling in for Simon Cowell the more I like it. Wow - that's entertainment.
