What's the big deal

What's the big deal with this Hero's show? I've heard so much about it, but it just seems like your run of the mill type show.

i use to think it was like smallville(i like smallville still) and 4400 where there are just random people with powers, but actually the characters are portrayed so deeply you can see that the powers are only secondary to the dynamics of the story behind each "hero".
