Peter doesn't die...when Hiro comes from the future he tells him that "he looks different without the scar"

what you're seeing is Peter getting the scar Hiro was referring to...he will survive

What I want to clarified is.... Peter has Claire's healing ability... why does he not just heal a scar? You'd think falling off the roof of a skyrise into a car on the street would leave way more scars... yet he walks away from that unscathed. But a cut to the scalp leaves a scar?

You are absoulety right... If he's suppose to be a healer, where does the scar come from?? Guess we'll have to wait until this saga re-airs

In the future that Hiro came from the first time he appeared to Peter, Peter had a scar. Of the many changes Hiro set in motion by telling him to go save the cheerleader, one of them could possibly be simply exposing Peter to Claire's ability. Perhaps the when Peter originally ran into Sylar he didn't have Claire's power - because he had never met her, and Sylar killed her .

In that scenario, Peter may have found a way to survive his encounter with Sylar, but he would have had to heal like any normal person (leaving a scar).
