Sorry if there's already a thread on this somewhere, I couldn't find it. As far as I know we don't have any real evidence as to what power or powers he has. A lot of people think he has accumulated multiple powers (either through eating brains or some other way), and I agree (not about the brains). Last night's episode got me thinking, and I feel like one of his powers is invisibility; if his victims can't see him (like the waitress in the store room) they won't know what's hit them until it's too late. Having the power of invisibility sure would make things difficult for the other heroes trying to fight him... anyway just wondering what people's thoughts are on Sylar's powers?

Well, I thought I'd help things along by listing some things we've seen Sylar do as well as the possible power(s) behind each one: What: Moving quickly (often undetected) How: Flight/levitation, time-bending, teleportation, invisibility What: Moving cup How: Telekenesis What: Cutting off victim's heads and removing brains How: Telekenesis (eg. using a cutting implement), or possibly bare hands in combination with time-bending What: Frozen bodies How: Freeze-ray (eg. some sort of temperature modifier/heat extracter). Sidenote: What if he has a sidekick with this ability? What: Pinning bodies up on walls How: Telekenesis, superhuman strength What: Stopping bullets or recovering from wounds How: Telekenesis, self-healing What: Murdering Mohinda's father How: Brute force (not necessarily a power) What: Locating those with powers How: Use of world map, ability to sense power What: Continuing to wear a watch after it's broken How: Inability to tell the time, stupidity That last one was a joke btw In hindsight, time-bending and teleportation would probably explain most, if not all of the above scenarios... however I doubt the writers would give Sylar such unstoppable power. Unless he has a weakness as someone else mentioned, like needing to recharge in the sun. Hmmm...

I'm sticking with telekinesis being the only power he really has.

Telekinesis is a given, but the frozen victims leads me to believe he almost has Iceman like freezing powers.

Ok, for all of you guys with these off of the wall sypnosis', Here si the real low-down. First of all there is something more dangerous than Syler at work. By Hiro jumping around in different time eras, he is inadvertantly changing the future. On the other hand Isaac can't just see the future, he can make the future. when he is sober he cannot do his future paintings because Hiro changes the past for the better outcome of the present and it in turn effects the future which is making it hard for him to see. mean while the cheerleader will not be killed by Syler, she in fact will be saved by her. Since he is her birth father and when the cheerleader's mysterious dad contacted the adoption agency, that gave Syler the cheerleader's location. However, the father want's to kill Syler before Syler kills him. Remeber when Syler killed the waitress, well the waitress actually didn't have any special ability at all. She was actually placed there by the organization with no initials that Claire's dad works for. He had Isaac in custody, Isaac drew the picture of Hiro and his friend at the diner. That's how Claire's dad knew to put her at the resturaunt. Syler had no interest in hurting Hiro or else it would have been easy for him to dispatch Hiro while he was in the restroom, but he did not. Hiro stopped himself from telling the gurl his secret which was a good move on his part. Syler found out the girl had no special abilities, but did know where to find Claire's dad and dispatched her. I'll finish this later

Sincerely doubt that Sylar is Claire's biological father. I do think he's the biological father of the little girl he didn't kill, but instead, attempted to kidnap at the hospital. It's possible that Hiro jumping around time and attempting to make changes may throw Isaac's ability off, but how many times has he actually done that? He jumped to the future and just recently into the past. Isaac was creating paintings well before Hiro started hopping around time...check the first episode. I think he can paint without the drugs but right now he needs them as a facilitator. Anyway, we'll get some answers tonight... | |
