The role of Matt's wife - Was it recast?

I am curious. Was the role of Matt's wife recast at the last minute?

Take a look at this promo...

In it, he is talking to a woman about his new ability to read people's thoughs. Her thoughts say to him " I can't stand it you suffocate me". So it appears they are together. However, that is not the actress who plays Matt's wife. The scene in the promo with Matt and the woman was never shown in any of the episodes. I am just wondering if they recast the role, and that is why the scene wasn't shown.

Also, does anyone know which episode the scene from .51 is? One would assume it is from Genesis because of the fact Claire's cheeks have smoke marks on them from fire. However, this scene is not in any of the episodes. Was it used just for promos?

Oh OK. That's cool then.

It is weird though that her thoughts would say to Matt "You suffocate me". That comes off as something that a woman would say to a guy she was involved with. If she is the ADA, and no way involved with Matt, why would she possibly be thinking in terms of Matt suffocating her? Plus, this was one of the first promos to ever air, so it seems like this scene would have aired already. That is why it seemed like they might of recast the role of his wife.

either way it's a recast because that's not either of the detectives

but do you guys know the song for that promo?

If it's a close friend or Brother I may think like that but Not say something. -so could be a sister?

maybe she's a Psychiatrist, Matt did Faint and seeing a shrink?

I'de say she's the psychiatrist. Didn't he and his wife see a psychiatrist in his first episode appearence anyway? I'm pretty sure they did. FEED BACK PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember reading someplace that the role was recast. They had that girl originally as Matt's wife, but then they recast it to the erson we have now. But I can't remember for the life of me where I read that.... <_<
