Let's name the 'ships!

Hi there-

I guess I was first exposed to shippers (and slashers) from the Stargate forums. I was surprised to see people who created threads and even websites because they really wanted to see Jack and Sam together. One funny one was the Sam/Cam/Lam trio (people who want to see a romantic triangle with Samantha Carter, Cameron Mitchell, and Dr. Lam).

Then it was funny with Avatar TLA fans to see they made up names for the ships they liked. And when those names were acknowledged at Comic-con recently, those shippers sure got excited! There are those for Kataang (Katara and Aang), Zutara (Prince Zuko and Katara), and Taang (Toph and Aang), etc. I mean, these are cartoon characters, people!

But hey, what about naming possible ships for Heroes characters?!? I figured we could make up the names of the ships and see which ones stick (maybe make a poll and vote on them sometime). Whaddya think?

Here are a few suggested names for some ships:

Zaclaire (Zach/Claire)
Nathiki (Nathan/Niki)
Nikiro (Niki/Hiro)
Nikrelli (Niki/Peter or Niki/Nathan)
Simeter (Simone/Peter)
Hiromone (Hiro/Simone)
Isaacki (Isaac/Niki)
Claireter (Claire/Peter)

Um, yeah. I'm guessing others can come up with better combos. Let's see them!

Also, in another forum, I was reminded that Claire was underage, and I'm not promoting improper 'ships, I was just having fun mixing the names. And they also suggested "Clach" for Claire/Zach and "Cleter" for Claire/Peter... B)

The only one which has any chance of happening is Niki/Peter in the list above. But other combinations may work (Simone/Peter might). But for some reason they don't sound right when put together.

See if other people reccomend some new names and then make a poll for the best sounding ones.

Forgive me for being a Harry Potter geek, but it sounds a little like a mispronunciation of Hermione.

I think Isaac and Niki could work. Don't know exactly how I feel about it personally, and I'm not sure how I feel about the name "Isaacki," either.
But I never liked "Jate" (Jack/Kate) for Lost, and it's still sticking...

I don't think Hiro will get with Niki or Claire lol.

For some reason, I can't really see any of the characters actually falling in love with each other.

Those are good, and I'd like to see some ships be made possible because, I'll admit it, I love shipping characters together.

Perhaps as the series moves on some ships may seem more prossible. But right now, I'm having trouble seeing it. Though I still like the idea of coming up with names now.

Yeah, from the Pilot it seemed like there won't be many ships on the show, at least for a little while.

I've been looking for a place to ship everywhere....but I haven't seen a single topic. Aren't there any? Where do I post them? :unsure:
