Nicholas D'Agosto stars as West on Heroes

Now that volume two of Heroes has come to an end, we're free to discuss, debate, and question things for months to come. One of the most divisive things the show did in season two was introduce a bevy of new characters, causing fans to brawl over who was worth keeping and who needed to die instantly. Like any Heroes fan, I have my own thoughts on who I'd like to see more of, and who I hope mysteriously disappears before volume three begins.

When they introduced Maya I thought the whole Shanti Virus thing was a ruse and the actual Virus was going to be Sylar's doing with the ability he stole from Maya. Now that would have been interesting. Can someone remind me why we needed the bumble twins?

Monica was poorly used. she had the potential to be great but the writers screwed it up

Adam is my favorite new character.For the character I hate the most I picked Maya even though it was really a toss up between her and West. Maya got the most hated vote from me due to the fact that they killed her only to bring her annoying self back moments later. Grrrrr!

I'm baffled that the writers spent so much time on Maya and then gave her no narrative purpose. Given that she survived "Powerless", I really hope that she gets a more defined role next volume. To start, she should very effected by being manipulated by Sylar. That would be a good place to start with her. They did a much better job introducing Monica...and then turned her into a damsel in distress???? Still, Monica has a great deal of potential, as does Elle. (I thought the initial characterization of Elle was lacking, but it's been improving.) West was a creepy creepy flying stalker, and I hope he stays gone. I have no doubt, however, that Adam will be back, as he should.

Why do I only have a choice between liking a new character or hating a new character? My point is that hate seems too strong a word. That coupled with your desire to have Sylar murder Maya is too creepy. Do we need to be concerned with any trips you maybe planning to make to a mall or a university in Virginia?Adam, Monica and Maya all have potential in the right story line. Elle was well used and I look forward to her next season. As for West he was the victim of an extreme childhood trauma but in the end he came through for Claire and Noah. You might consider cutting him some slack. At least you did not choose to have him murdered too.

I grew to like Maya at the last minute, after Sylar killed her brother, i was sad for her, they should bring her back next season to get rid of Sylar once and for all. Bring back Monica and juice her role up, Adam was an amazing add in volume 2. And hell yeah let West fly far far away.

West will join the Supervillians. He was told to drop dead by his girlfriend, whose dad kidnapped and tortured him. West is a perfect candidate to turn to the dark side and join Sylar and Adam.
