Hey people how we doing? Right ive been reading the threads and a few people are bafled as to why Sylar isnt dead, the reason why he managed to crawl off down the sewar was because Hiro made a poor attempt at killing Sylar, simple. If you go back and watch the last episode, where Hiro stabbed Sylar wasn't on the left hand side of his chest like the comic showed, is was more in the middle of his chest (sternum) even so i supposed some people are thinking that should be enough to kill Sylar...but No because even a human being could have survive the attemp Hiro made at kiling Sylar, basically Hiro fluffed his lines and didn't inflict enough of a life threatening wound to kill Sylar, therefore Sylar simply crawled down the drain probably found himself some band aids, anti biotics and stitiched himself up. As for claire Dont we eventually see Sylar kill claire in Episode 20 (5 years gone)...remember when claire is talking to nathan the have a little dispute, claire turns away disgruntled and nathan starts to kill her from behind the transforms into Sylar

Didn't Sylar gain Claire's ability in TX at the homecoming? He healed himself in the "paper factory" holding cell. Admittedly, this doesn't explain the trail of blood. I can only assume the perhaps Hiro's wounds cannot be healed by this regenerative ability? My 2 cents

This is what im thinking: We see the future episode right and it says that there is someone that people fear to be the next sylar. Training maybe he is his "Master" in away and trains him to be evil and stupid **** like that. OR He will be the one tracking down new heroes and taking there powers and it shows us the new heroes that he is finding what they can do and things like that.

Do you remember in one of the first episodes, maybe "One Giant Leap" when Sylar comes after Molly again within the FBI HQ. Matt Parkman guns him down but he rises almost instantly and escapes. At this point i assumed he had abilities similar to Claires if not more powerful but we learn this not to be true. So i wonder how he was able to do this but then later on Dr Suresh is able to knock him out by ramming him with a board.

To answer several of the posts above: 1) No, Sylar does not have Claire's ability, if he did Claire would be missing her brain...and as we all know you need a brain to live. 2) Since present events have changed significantly (Bomb doesn't strike NYC, Ando lives, etc...) the future in which Sylar kills Claire will never come to pass. 3) Why can Sylar survive? I have discussed this with others and the consensus is that Sylar can both remove bullets from his body with telekinesis and also use that same power to hold his organs and tissue together, preventing sepsis and allowing his body's natural healing process to take over. I had also speculated that his life force is so powerful, now that he has absobred multiple powers, that it too contributes in some way to his resiliance...sort of like Darth Vader's use of the dark side allows him to still live after his disfiguring accident with the lava. 4) Of course, if Sylar doesn't see you coming you can get the jump on him. We know from Hiro and Peter that one's emotional state can affect one's ability to use a power.
