Default Dissapointment with Syler

Just wanted to know if anyone else was slightly dissapointed with the character of Syler? After a stint of episodes with mysterious deaths and suspence, I was hoping for some disfigured maniac with a serious bloodlust, but instead I got some disturbed watch maker with freakishly huge eyebrows. True the actor does make a good attempt at the role, but I just have the feeling that something is missing. And can someone please tell me a logical explanation as to how Syler extracts this 'mutant' gene from the brain and injects it into his own.

I was dissapointed as well. They tried to show the human, conflicted side of Sylar and instead they just made his character inconsistent.

He only steals/kills from other special people because they don't deserve their gift but he does? I don't buy it.

In reply to Markus.Darkus I have seen up to episode 20 and am still finding annoyancies with the character, especially after the events that ended episode 19, which also actually makes me really mad at the writers.

Ahhh.....fair comment. There are so many holes in the plot and discrepencies with Characters I can see why people get the hump, I just turn my brain off with Heroes, I find it's the best way to enjoy it, I save what brain I have for Lost....but it's never enough!

Regarding Sylar i get what your saying........it's O.K to serial kill people with abilities....it's not O.K to kill normal's because they're innocent.........he kills Mohinder's father and tries to kill Mohinder........he phones Mohinder to help him stop killing everyone by exploding......he loves his mother and wants to be normal.....he kills his Mother, accident or not and paints the future with her blood. You just want some confirmation of what he is!

I dunno, Ive switched off with Lost. After the second series finished on channel 4 I couldn't continue watching it on Sky One because of some bloody problem in my area, though I did used to get really drawn in to the strange and enigmatic stories, even if they did take years to be explained. After a few months or so waiting to see it again, I found myself unbothered with the whole concept of the show surprisingly, maybe because it's so hyped now and everybody loves it, I guess I just preferred it when it was more of niche show, Ive always liked watching tv that was a little different from what my family would watch, namely Coronation Street, and find it kind of uncool that they now watch it too.
