Joshua Jackson won't be appearing on Grey's Anatomy after all.  The former Dawson's Creek star was all signed up and ready for an extended run on the ABC medical drama, but then that pesky writers' strike came along and chaos ensued.  During the strike, Joshua Jackson was cast as one of the hand-picked stars of the brand-new J.J. Abrams pilot Fringe and it turns out that the scheduling between Fringe and Grey's Anatomy just couldn't be worked out.  Fringe, a sci-fi pilot, is apparently going into production soon (which is much earlier than I had originally anticipated) and now Grey's Anatomy is going to have to scramble to either replace Jackson or completely scrap the character he was going to play.

Fringe is definitely the better move, at least in my opinion. But that's only because you couldn't pay me to watch Grey's Anatomy.

BuddyD, NO! I'm so mad that Joshua won't be on Grey's. I was really looking forward to that. He's one of the more talented Dawson's actors. You hear that, Katie Holmes? Stop making bad movies!

One of the more talented Dawson's actors? I suppose he's top three right now?. Katie needs to be dropped out of the equation...she's over. Beek doesn't get enough love - Rules of Attraction was spectacular. Incredibly, Michelle Williams has done the best, but will she any more than a great supporting actress? JJ has star potentch. I think JJ Abrams will make Jackson another MFox.

I am glad that he is not goinng to be on Grey's. I as not really a fan of Dawson's Creek. I think that Grey's is not the right shoe for him.

Ohhh, I've loved Josh Jackson ever since he was that scrappy young Charlie in Mighty Ducks. I'm glad to see him working, but sad that he won't be on Grey's.
