At the end of each year, Barbara Walters hosts a special on ABC, interviewing the people that she deems the most fascinating people of the year. This year, that special will air on ABC on Thursday, December 6. Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2007 will feature Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, and Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl. The special will also include two surprise guests. To read the rest, click here.

Wow, the creators of MySpace! How out of touch is Walters? I'm always amused by this list because it's good in theory, but it's always crap (I believe last year was Camilla Parker Bowles). If this were real, the list would have to include Barack Obama and Larry Craig, who are certainly fascinating figures for different reasons. If any TV person should be on the list, it's David Chase, for the radical way he decided to end The Sopranos.

I put a little bit of thought into it, and here are the 10 most fascinating people of 2007, in my book: Miley Cyrus (a huuuuuge phenomenon), Gordon Brown (new British PM), Nancy Pelosi (first female Speaker of the House), Seth Rogen (breakout film year), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (president of Iran), Barack Obama (first viable black presidential candidate), Fred Thompson (late-comer, laid back presidential candidate), the Beckhams (international celebrities coming to America), David Chase (creator of The Sopranos), and Michael Vick (QB/dogfighting enthusiast). Those are 10 people I'd like to know more about.

Jennifer Hudson deserves it. I saw her album and blog and the celeb website http://www.millionairematch.com/photo/millionairecupid,jennifer It's very hot and popular. Just heard that she has been listed in the top ten hottest celebs this week. Grey's Anatomy, no need to say, she is a great girl, I love her very much. I'm happy to see her on that top 10 list.

Now I'm thinking about the most fascinating people. Nancy was last year's most fascinating. At least Barbara was up to date on that, as opposed to the MySpace duo. Can she ask them why Facebook is better and never gives me a virus?

Ah, then Camilla was two years ago. It doesn't change the fact that Heigl is a bad choice. How about TR Knight or Isaiah Washington? I'm more fascinated by them than by Katherine Heigl. She's a pretty girl who likes hanging out with gay guys, there's absolutely nothing fascinating about that. But since her special airs on ABC, I think she's obligated to pick one ABC star every year: Teri Hatcher in 05, Dempsey last year, now Heigl? The sad thing is that the actors are flashier, but the creators are far more fascinating. I'd watch an interview with Shonda Rhimes or Marc Cherry over these actors any day.

Its a good choice I think, although I'm not sure I'd put in her in my top ten. I like The Beckhams, and whoever said Miley Cyrus... I agree with that too. I would pick Christian Bale for an actor on the list if I had one, because he is an incredible and diverse actor who has been in many things this past year and still flown under the radar, which is admirable ( I sound like his spokesperson or something haha. Tyra Banks is fasciniaing in a 'she freaks me out' kind of way. I'm just babbling as I think now. I don't like Jennifer Hudson at all, but at this point in time I don't know who I would pick.

JENNIFER HUDSON, hands down! She's already a fabulous singer and, if she chooses her projects carefully, she'll be a great star. She's got to be her own woman and not allow people to convince her to "go with the flow" and do what is popular, like hip/hop. She's a classic soul singer and she should have the best musical material...music that is not fly-by-night like most of what's coming out on the market today. Can't wait to see her interview. She comes across as a wonderful, down-to-earth person. I like that.

Wow it must be flattering just to be nominated for a specific category. I'm with y'all though Jennifer deserves it.
