On last night's 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Grey's Anatomy was up for some pretty big awards.  They were nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama, and Outstanding Drama Series.   On Friday, in our Emmys prediction, we thought if the show had any chance of bringing home a statue, it would be in the Outstanding Actress category.  Partially, the reason they had a good chance was because the odds were in their favor with Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson, and Katherine Heigl all being nominated.  Lady Luck smiles down on them and Heigl won her first Emmy statue for her performance as Dr. Izzie Stevens.

On season 3 of Grey's Anatomy, Izzie dealt with the aftermath of her love, Denny Duquette's death.  He had left her $8.7 million dollars to do what she wanted with it.  She ends up teaming up with Dr. Bailey (Wilson) to open a free medical clinic as part of the hospital.  Izzie also had to deal with her best friend George (Knight) marrying Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and feeling left out.  Those feelings turned into feelings of love and she and George ended up sleeping together.  This chain of events causes a rift in their friendship that may or not be repairable.

Oh yes, TR looked so upset about losing, which is why he was smiling and laughing all night as was seen in his post-Emmy interview. He was thrilled as pie for Katherine and couldn't stop smiling and laughing during his interview. Really heratbroken about his loss..NOT TR has not said a word against Isaah. Guess you didn't read the latest interview with TR and Katie two weeks ago where Katie called Isaah disgraceful and said what he had said about TR was a pack of lies and where TR again said he would not talked about Isaah, he was happy, his life was great and it was not worth it to talk about it.

Or maybe you didn't hear all the applause TR got while his clip was airing? It is pretty obvious he has the support of his peers.

The guy from Gilmore Girl who is co-starring on Grey this season said everyone was happy to be rid of Isaah, LOL, so much for them missing him.

As for TR, he was the lone male actor nominee from the entire show, and given that Katie is the only Emmy win Gr

So glad for Katie, she deserves it. She is my favorite actress and I love Izzie, and george and Izzie are my favorite couple ever. Wish TR had won too, but he lost against another formidable actor. I know he will be nominated again as he is a wonderful actor, who can make you laugh and cry, not to mention a wonderful human being.

How sweet was that hug btween TR and Katie, those two really love each other, she said she wanted to drag him up on stage with her so they could hold hands some more, aww!

oohh pleassse the loser lost,,bottom line,, if they all thought he was so great they would have given it to him,(afterall he was the so-called favorite)i dont care what cast members say i"ll bet ya they all watching their backs now,,when you have a teammate that would rather take matters public than private so that they can look good,,people will be watching you henceforth so that the same sh**t doesnt happen to them,,and i here patrick dempsey is doing just that,,Good for him,,i would too..

I was so happy that Katherine Heigl won an Emmy I was crying my eyes out. She is my favorite actress most likely. I guess those long seventeen years paid off. I am disappionted T.R. didn't win but he was up against a lot of competition.
