Grey's Anatomy pushed the envelope in its third season, resulting in the cavalcade of kudos handed down by the lords of the Emmys. As it comes into its fourth season, Grey's Anatomy sits on the verge of what has become a fad for drama series exiting their sophomore years. It is heading for a reboot. Grey's Anatomy will now be shifting into a whole new dramatic space, a new chief, a flock of new residents, and, of course, a flock of newly upgraded physicians.

The pairing of George and Izzie was far from disastrous. It was unlikely and I think most people just viewed them as friends, but it was superbly acted and good television. And because both Heigl and Knight were so good most people I know were converted to the idea, after the initial outcry.

The Mer/Der pairing is still the most popular and hardly held together by a rubber band. Please comment correctly. Also the chief is the same old one. Where do you get your info again?

Sounds like a chaotic approach to the season, with all these different plot lines going on, and different age groups. Is this still a one hour show, or are they going for two hours 'cause this sounds like overload to me. I hope they get Mer/Der back together, as soon as possible. I'm not interested in the interns. Thankfully I can always tape and fast forward...
P.S. I don't think "Grey's Writers have always handled everything, even their failings, with a sensitivity and inventiveness that is uniquely Grey's." Oh, you were going FOR LAUGHS, I see, ha-ha-ha-ha! Good one!!!

Well, I hope you are dead wrong about George and Izzie. They are what keep me watching through the rough waters of Season 3. I absolutely adore them together and they have mind-blowing chemistry together. BTW the chief was still Richard after Derek refused the job. As for Derek and Meredith, I see no reason why they won't be together after Meredith recuperates from the hell she was put through (near-death, death of mom, death of step-mom, and lowest of all, emotionally crushed by estranged father). What girl wouldn't need a time out to regroup. Rubberband my eye. Do you really watch the show or catch a certain TV Guide Guy's spoilers and run with them. I apologize for sounding insulting, but your report is pure conjecture.

Oh for goodness sake, it has not been confirmed anywhere Gizzie is being dropped, just rumors from haters like you. Aussiello is a hack that has been wrong many times before.

As for Gizzie, I love them and reading from all the comments on your previous blogs about them, a whole lot of people love them too.

All my friends, family and people I know offline who watch love those two together, and if you look at the Grey matter blog, the comments are 50-50.

Seriously, George and Izzie were the last thing keeping me watching the show. If they end, I am gone.

Seriously, do you think if you keep acting like everyone hates george and Izzie it is going to make it true? Or if you keep repeating they are over when you have no confirmation of it, it will make it true too.

I love how all you so-called critics take the word of a guy who has been wrong many times before just because he is saying what you want to hear. What integrity, NOT!

If Gizzie is really over, why the poll on ABC asking people if they want them together? Imean, if they are done, it would be pointless to ask people's opinions on it.

Another one of your dear crtics friends had a little shock when she asked fans if they were glad Gizzie wasover, and more than half thepeople said no. So much for all the haters.

Why don't you put a little Gizzie poll on this board too? I bet you would be surprised how many fans there are.

Hello, there is no new chief, Richard is staying on, did you even watch the finale? Because you don't seem toknow what the heck you are talking about.

MerDer is still the most popular couple around and still touch the heart of millions.

As for Gizzie, there has been no confirmation they are over at all, just rumors, and I would not call them disastrous. They have a huge number of very loyal fans who are ready to stick around and wait for however long it takes for them to get together, my boyfriend and I included.

I am sorry, why does george fit the dopeyman role better, because he doesn't fit your shallow image of what a leading man should be? TR has talent,is a total cutie pie and has eyes you could get lost in, not to mention he is oneheck of a kisser. Did you see that kiss with Izzie on the elevator? That was HOT and sweett and sexy and passionate and tender,. Infact, it was one of the best kisses I have ever seen on TV. I think he makes a great leading man, much better than Ken-like boring baddie with a so-called good heart Alex.

Buthey, stick with your shallow views, unfortunately many people seem to share it.

Fortunately for me, I watch the show with a group of people who are able to see just how amazing George is and how special a couple george and izzie really is.
