Ellen P. is not worthy of a nomination, with the story line she was given, she kind of always is the same, she gave up on her life and as an actor she did not show us anything to feel as a viewer that this was real for the character. Patrick D. is one of the best actors out there, however his character has no depth, the writers need to do more with him than give him scenes of him looking into the camera with his big eyes. yes for women, like my mother that is enough but it is a waste of an actor if u have seen his other work. Sandra Oh was great at the end, but was not as great all season like preivous years, Hiegel was again given big scenes and was amazing deserves it, chandra is great, but was too small of a role this year to deservie it again use her more. T.R. was spectacilar this year, he steped it up with his stories and also his acting, you could see and feel everything he was going through from his father's death to his afair.

I totally agree with Amy from Vancouver. Of course the writers weren't nominated, they almost crashed the show totally. And yes, wonderful Ellen Pompeo & great Patrick Dempsey were snubbed because of what the writers did to their characters. I too blame the writers for so much of what has happened to Grey's and I really REALLY hope they will listen to their fans and go back to the old great Grey's.
TR Knight didn't do anything to deserve a nomination in my opinion but yeah, he must have gotten the nomination because people felt sorry for him for all that had happend - which is highly overrated if you ask me.
I'm very disappointed with the way the show is going and hope things will come around for the better, but I don't have much hope, after Isaiah Washington and Kate Walsh leaving and all the bad storylines they wrote lately, with Gizzie sharing the number one spot when it comes to bad taste, with all the sadness around Mer/Der.

I'm surprised the writers were neglected. I mean, aren't they the ones that come up with things such as the show starting with Meredith helping Izzie out of her gown and the season ending with Meredith helping Christina out of her gown. The symbolism in it all is worthwhile and while the actors bring the characters to life (and I love them all), there would be no characters without the writers.

I am wondering what shows are the emmy judges watching??? difenatley not the same ones we are. Ellen Pompeo fully deserved a nomination this year, she was definately overlooked in one harsh hurting way. How long can they ignore her?? She has improved soo much in the past year, she gave us amazing acting on Grey's. Isn't it enough she's hooking atleast half of the 20 million following Greys all season??? When will the real stars be rewarded?? I wonder. I feel for Pompeo now. I hope ABC and the writers give her something strong to lead Greys anatomy with this season. This should be a wake up call.

Season 3 was depressing, but the scenes were beautifully written anyhow, the writers did a good job, no a great one.

And this season did give me George and Izzie and they are the only bright spot left on the show for me.So I will alwas be grateful for that

I think Ellen Pompeo deserved a nod beacause of her beautiful acting. It wasnt her fault that she had a horrible script to act from that is Shondas fault. Even though most of the time her part was dull and her facial expressions were plain it is sometimes hard to keep that straight face. I am mad because everyone is saying that she was a horrible actress. She wasnt she was a great one.

Ellen Pompeo is one amazing actress with rare very expressive silent way of acting. She is subtle and not loud, which makes her even better. She reaches you when she does the part in so many levels. She is a great actress, there is no denyng that. I am sad and mad she didn't get the nod she deserves from the Emmys. But i am looking to Golden Globes, I hope she gets nominated and wins this time, its soon, 4 months away only. Ellen pompeo is one major reason Grey's Anatomy is the success it is today.

Ellen Pompeo is a brilliant actress, she does wonders without words even. I'm hoping she gets a nom at the golden globes now and win it, I'm praying for it. She more than deserves it. I watch Greys because of her. The emmys did wrong in ignoring Ellen Pompeo.

Ellen deserves at least a nomination if not a win. She did a wonderful job despite a very disapppointing season
